Wary Fighter on Hector?

Quick question, does putting Wary Fighter on Hector also negate the built in Quick Riposte from Armads?

I always thought it did cause I had an Effie attack my full HP Hector once and he only attacked once in reply, and she ofc had Wary Fighter. But a friend of mine said his Hector's Armads ability still works even after he put Wary Fighter on him, but has yet to prove it to me lol

So I'm asking you guys, cause I don't want to throw away my Effie or Zephiel just to try it out lol How do those two things work when put together?

Answers

It negates Armads' effect.

It negates Armands because Armands is just Quick Riposte 2.

Wary fighter on the enemy negates Hector's Armands effect as well. however if the Effie is -Spd, the Hector will have 5 speed over her and can double her normally. But the Armads lets him double as well. Wary Fighter can only negate one instance of 'you attack twice' so Hector can still double hit slower Effies.
