Wary fighter is the best b skill for Surtr. Change my mind.

If the opponent is a armor that uses bold fighter and naturally out speeds you, you are getting doubled. Bold fighter and vengeful fighter won’t change that. Vengeful fighter might kill the opponent but I prefer killing them the next turn with -20 ho and +8 stat advantage over the opponent. Also wary fighter help you against other match ups.

He already has a complete base kit. Changing it any further is a waste of time and resources.

Positioning. If you run WF and dont kill, you have to kill the enemy on the play phase. Same with BF but the reverse. WF will often times take 2 turns to kill someone while the rest of your team is getting destroyed because you're dicking around with an arthur. It makes most pve and some pvp maps easier if you run a build that ends combat in one go.

so according to OP, leaving the enemy alive to kill the next turn>ORKO

The buffs are gonna be applied regardless of whether or not u win that engagement, so why waste that second turn for surtr by finishing off someone he could've ORKOed if he ran vengeful or bold fighter instead of wary fighter? Hell, if you don't wanna put VF on surtr bc ur strapped for resources, just slap QR on him, as painful as it will be

Also, relying on WF to block doubles seems inefficient and risky considering it's not just bold fighters that have a "guaranteed follow-up attack" granted by a skill or weapon
