Wanted Demoted Units?

Alright folks, who would you want to see get demoted from the slightly inflated 5* pool? While we all can dream, I doubt units such as Linde or Ayra will go to 4*, so let's be kinda realistic.

Which units should honestly not be in the 5* pool any longer, or at the very least, in the 4*-5* pool? New units that get demoted after their launch banner get into this pool, such as Silas and Libra. So while the units are still kinda rare, they are at least obtainable for players who enjoy/need them.

Honestly, Luke is my first pick. I don't really... like the character, but having potential panic ploy fodder is rather nice. Though, PP has lost it's flavor with the sacred seal addition and with HP inflation with the harder difficulties, it would still be nice to have for certain units.

Leo is another top pick for me. His stats are nothing spectacular, but the potential QR3 in the 4* pool would be nice. Also, with higher availability, I would love to try to make his tome refinement work well, but as a 5* exclusive, it seems hard to do without the right ivs and merges.

And... then there's units like Mist. The Magikarp. Who belongs in the tras- I mean, 3*-4* pool.

Who would you honestly like to see get demoted from the exclusive 5* pool? Whether it be realistically or well... hopes and dreams.

There's a lot of them, that I can throw out there from the top of my head:

I guess that even more, but I'm too lazy to check the entire hero list at the moment. Basically, the power level of these heroes makes it difficult for them to compete on a regular level with the 3/4* available heroes and demoting these heroes would make it easier to get a good IV as well as gaining some merges to actually become relevant. As for skill fodder: none of these would break the game if they were demoted. Maybe genny would be problematic.

I was also once wondering whether demotion of the old DC heroes would cause some problems. Namely in the cases of Ryoma and young Ike.

Faye is interesting, as she's the only wielder of the firesweep bow. She'd lose her spot in the legendary colorless rotation... but I'd be fine with that.

Tana is tricky, with Guidance and her new and pretty decent refine. But like you said with the skills, Guidance isnt groundbreaking, at least, not nearly as special as it used to be.

DC weapon units are interesting to think about. While Ike is outclassed by his legendary self, and Ryoma is losing his edge against units like ayra, karla, etc... They are still decently powerful. So..... idk. I would like to see them demoted, but IS is pretty stingy with DC weapons, with our only easy access ones being Fjorm, L!Ike, BK, Camoo, and Xander, who are all limited in number.

Yeah, Faye would be kind of tricky if it came to her demotion. Firesweep is one of the more desired weapons on all the offensive archers and easy access to it could mean some annoying arena matches in the lower scoring tiers.

And I agree that Tana would be an ok demote. The flying lancer pool is quite competitive, because there are some strong and common option (Shigure, Cordelia, Clair), so Tana would become another equally viable option and guidance would be a nice skill to have, as it's not as unique, since we have it as a seal.

The DC guys are a big question mark for me. Ryoma could become an auto +10 target and Ike as well, because more stats + a DC weapon is a nasty combo. On the other hand, they are heavily outclassed at low merges when compared to the new and even non-DC swords.

I think Genny is the only one of those that shouldn't be demoted.

Leo actually DOES learn QR3 at 4 stars, so I'd love that! And Hinoka's another one that should be demoted, but more so that we get easy access to Hone Fliers (which she has at 4 stars).

And I'd have no problem with Olwen, Saber and Faye getting demoted because I need them for my catalogue.

Units that 100% should be: Saber, Luke, Gray, Olwen, Faye, Jaffar, MIST

Units that would be nice, but unlikely: Lyn, Karel, Ike, Leo, Sanaki, Ephraim, Morgan(F), Amelia, Minerva, Sonya, Deirdre, Julia, Takumi, Genny

For the aforementioned 5* characters, I would rather see a “Skill Refinery” where Mist could get Fort/Res 3, or Julia could get DB3 or 4, or whatever etc. it s a better idea I think to make those characters fun again, and more exciting for those who already pulled said worthless characters

If they get demoted, the farthest I can see them going is into the 4-5 star pool, though 3-4 would be a blessing.

I want Minerva to be demoted so I can +10 her since shes my all time fav fe character

If I were to select some units, this is what I’d go with.
4-5 Star:

Red: Eldigan, Luke, Leo
Blue: Ephraim, Hinoka, Olwen
Green: Julia, Rhajat, Sonya, Minerva
Colorless: Elise, Jaffar, Mist, Takumi

Here are the units I think should get demoted, either because of they no longer have any business being locked to 5 stars:

Leo (outclassed due to his low Atk, QR3 at 4 stars)
Hinoka (outclassed by Cordelia offensively, Hone Fliers at 4 stars)
Luke (no reason to be locked, and Fire Boost at 4 stars)
Faye (bad without major investment)
Julia (doesn't offer much aside from Naga)
Blue Olwen (offensively outclassed by her brother)
Saber (Shield Pulse isn't very coveted)
Karel (outclassed in Atk and Spd by his sister)
Lyn (outclassed by most other sword units)
Elise (now outclassed by Maribelle and Brave Veronica)
Mist (everyone knows why)

There are several others, but those are just the ones that immediately come to mind. Wouldn't mind Faye, Olwen and Saber getting demoted since I need them for my catalogue. And I checked the Heroes Wiki and Leo and Hinoka do have those skills at 4 stars.
