Voting Gauntlet Scoring

I don't spend flags unless the multiplier is at least 4.8-ish, preferably at least 5-6. Except in the final hour, if I have leftover, then I may as well not waste them, but otherwise I hold.

I also find that multipliers tend to be higher on the second day of a round. I haven't figured out why.

The Voting Gauntlet multiplier goes from 3.1 to 7.5 the multiplier goes higher each our passes. The best time to spend the flags is probably in the last 8 our or so.

The multipliers goes up every hour, so the best time to spend your flags is in the last hours when your team is behind, but take care because sometimes the two teams can be equal and no multiplier shows up.

Multipliers range from 3.1-7.5. The formula for the multiplier is 3+0.1X, where X is the number of hours passed in the Voting Gauntlet round. My advice for using flags: watch your team and the scoring potential it has compared to the opponent. Never use flags before the multiplier hits 6 unless there will be a same score deadlock for multiple hours in the latter part of the round, or if your team will rarely get a bonus. It’s not a bad thing to carry flags over to a second or final round, but you have to be much less conservative with the use of your flags if you enter the final round with over 2000 flags.

The highest the multiplier goes is 7.5x, so the best day to start spending flags is on the second day. That's usually when I decide to do it. Also, it's important to remember that when the countdown says "last hour" it means last FULL hour. The VG actually ends at midnight EST (for me).
