Yeah, ran the calculations and it turns out Boey, with TA Raven, Bonfire, and QR2 can handle all but a small selection of colorless, even if they have CA (at 0 merges on the colorless, the only ones who can beat him are Poison Dagger/Kitty paddle users, and the only ones who survive him are Niles, Innes, Felicia, Halloween Sakura, and Kagero(even without their bonus damage daggers).and monster Jakob due to Wary Fighter). Even with the colorless in question at +10 merges with CA, the only ones to be added to that list that withstand him are Summer Gaius, Jeorge, Klein, Brave Lyn, PA! Olivia, Rebecca, and Setsuna.
!!!!!!These Calculations were done with a +Def/-HP 4 star +5 merge Boey who has no Sacred Seal equipped and no buffs of any kind, and assumed EVERY one of those colorless to have CA.!!!!!!!!!
I ran the same Calculations for the Blue tome users. The only ones who could knock him out were Olwen, Ursula and Summer Corrin all using Blarblade and assuming them to have FULL Horse/Flier Emblem buffs, A +10 merge +atk Linde with Life and Death and Hone Atk fails to kill him by 1 HP if he has just a Rally/Hone/Spur of 2 points of res(She can still do it with Moonbow unless he has an HP+5 Seal and +3 res buff or a +5 Res buff without the seal), and he needs only 4 buff to his Res to survive a +10 merge +atk Delthea with Death Blow and Hone Atk(If she's got Moonbow, he needs +8 res, or the +5HP seal and +5 Res..
And yes, he can survive a fully optimal QP Moonbow Reinhardt, and requires only +2 Res buff or a +HP seal of any degree to do it.
So yeah. Those of you who counted Boey out because of his low Atk and res....there you go.
Mmm...But Boey isn't an under rated green mage. I've seen people talk about him quite often with the Triangle Adept and Raven build.
I too would have built him with a Raven tome and Close Counter if I didn't already have Julia, she does the job just fine with countering dragons and surviving at least 1 bow attack using Bow Breaker. If not for her, I'd have built a Boey. But alas, I already have enough green tomes to fill in spots, don't need another.
I understand, I ain't dissin'. And with a situation different from mine, I would agree you got a good unit, I seriously wish I had a Boey. But it's a project that'll be on hold, got other units/builds to work on.
Also...I agree about the Triangle Adept thing.

I'd say +Atk -HP
With -hp he's got 40...That's a lot for a MAGE character. And because he's a Raventome with good Defense, he'll force that damage done to him down by 20% if it's a blue unit, 40% with Triangle Adept.
Even at neutral his def is great 32 is nice. Even with Bonfire he'll still do at least 15 damage.
Being easier is debatable since she's a Grand Hero Battle reward unit.
You never know when they'll come back, but if your patient sure thing.
The other sad part about it is that whilst not being screwed by chancing bad IVs she also can not have a chance at better IVs. Even at neutral Boey has more Def and HP, his downside being Spd/Res.
It really depends on how you look at the stats and your perspective on their use. I'd prefer Boey once I role good IVs, I've yet to get one, but I'm also not in a rush, cause I got at least 3 good green tomes.
I also happen to summon him frequently o.O I've at least summoned 5... Another note, I preferred to use my Robbine for that Gronwolf...which I used to build a anti-calvary tome unit.
