The usual AR troubles

Can we seriously just have Surtr and Rein removed from this mode? Especially Surtr, he just REFUSES to die (which is kind of a problem when there’s a measly 7 turns to win).

I know I’m not great at this mode (or the other modes for that matter), but it’s really disheartening to lose over and over (especially when one go costs 70 Aether).
Trying to deal with overlapping range is also a nightmare, as it may seem that the ONLY strategy is to use some Galeforce shenanigans, but I don’t really want to invest that much into a character for one mode (I’m not really sure exactly how to do it effectively anyway).

Sorry for all the complaining, but I have to vent.

Surtr is a cheap unit alongside Trashardt.

Aversa and Lilina with Axebreaker should be able to body him.

Surtr is the least of my problems in AR.
I just hate dancers in this mode, the map is already annoying with traps, structures, the entire triangle in one spot, AoE ready specials and if you add one dancer or two then it becomes very difficult to win without losing someone.

Hmm, who's in your raiding parties? I'm actually a little uneasy because I don't even have a specific plan for dealing with Surtr and yet I've managed to take him down with dance support every time and never miss an aether pot.

Also, quite understandable to get frustrated if you're losing a lot. This mode definitely makes us pay pretty severely for mistakes.

All I can say is start building a Soleil with Armorsmasher (Eff), after building her Surtr has became nothing but burning dust that gets in her way, hell I can even have her bait Surtr with her getting debuffed/-20 hp and still live without TA on and that's with a -Hp Soleil

Make teams with specific counters to them if you see them on the enemy team.

You could also just not invest so much in the mode. I personally just play once a day 'cuz the defense losses make climbing out of tier 11 too much of a chore.

Rein is extremely easy to counter. Micaiah or, on a budget, Cecilia. Both can bait and KO.

Surtr is a bit harder but a bulky red sword can usually ding him up enough for an effective weapon user to blow him out, even through triangle disadvantage. Just leave him for last and then hit him twice in the same turn when you're ready to take him on.

The ridiculous amount of Surtrs on AR made me use my Celica a LOT. One hit = Brazen + Desperation range with Fury. Surtr is nothing after that. Dancers and positioning helps a lot
