Given the new context that I definitely will +10 and often use DC, which IVs would you use?

Also, in the short term, I could use multiple of him in Aether Defense for fun. What’s the scariest combo you can think of? (Wings of mercy bold fighter surtr with wary surtr comes to mind)

I’m prepared for a little hate. This is the first time I’ve tried to buy to +10. It was painful and I hope to never do it again.

Given now that your goal is max points it gets tough to decide. I'd have to say +Atk -Def. I think his Res is important to keep intact for the most debauchery. He has 44/37 and 47/34 on the other. I prefer the first spread as I think most people will challenge your Res the majority of the time. And your defense is already high enough.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to denote the 180 BSTs at least for discussion purposes.

Arena isn’t the most fun thing about the game, and a +10 175 is still really good. FWIW, on Red/Blue, the best I could manage right now would be Effie +10 and Draug.

My priority would in terms of effectiveness of course would be +Atk -Spd. But Im sure you know that to so I figured the question was between those 2. It's very doable and you may miss not having one option or the other.

Then I don't see a need for the extra scoring bin. I'd probably prefer some kind of +res IV because he's nearly unbreakable on his def without armoursmasher or slaying hammer already and he makes himself hard to deal with by being nearly unkillable and just chipping people away with out-of-combat damage.

In particular, AoE specials (and even glimmer for Lilina) are some of the dangerous things to him other than anti-armour weaponry, so I like the extra res especially at max merge.

And for multi-Surtr team, I think you could consider it on arena def just to really put the heat on the bonus unit. In AR I doubt it works because anything that counters him probably counters multiple of him as well.

Thanks. Good points on arena vs Aether. In AR, being able to preview the map and choose from 5 raiding parties means Lilina or similar hard counter is highly likely.

Anecdotal testing in the training tower saw a very nice win over a Red, armorslayer, armored foe. (I had learned menace C skill already).

If you don't mind me asking, how many orbs did you spend?

Also, in Arena, +Atk may not be optimal, as you'd want your bonus unit to do the killing.
