Unlocking Potential Help?!

I was wondering if IV when you unlock potential from a character changed or stayed the same when unlocking potential.
Also,I dont know where I read this,but does stats growth stay the same as the 4* when upgrading to 5*?
Lets says I have a +spd/-def Nino 4* that i wanna upgrade to 5*, will her base stats at level 1 once
she become 5* will stay the one from the 4*,or will she get news stats like she was a 5* to begin with?

Ivs remain unaltered and her base stats will be as if she was 5-star the whole time when you make her 5-star

as someone else already said, they will remain the same. i just wanted to add that the only way to change iv natures is through merging ^^

Which does not change IV values. It just transfers all learned/available skills to the hero you merge into.

This is completely false and incorrect. You cannot change the iv nature if any hero by merging at all.

Merging naturally increases their stats totalling an extra +4 to all stats when you merge to +10 and that's all

In his defence, it's techniqually 'changing' by changing the hero ;)

Yep, he probably meant that you can change it by choosing the right IVs.
