Units that pity broke you, but you actually like them?

This actually happened to me this morning. While I was sniping for W!Tharja (Vengeful Fighter for Gwendolyn), I was pity broken by vanilla Celica. Her ivs were the absolute worst (+Res/-Spd), I looked at her page analysis and thought that she can actually be very speedy even with a Spd bane.

I really liked her in SoV as well. I really don’t have a really speedy Red Mage (excluding B!Tharja and SM!Eirika) with a great weapon. I’m willing to invest into her, even with the Spd bane. I Just don’t have the right fodder for her right now.

Does this happen to anyone else, or is getting pity broken just terrible?

That's funny I was also pulling for W!Tharja and got a variant of Celica but the Brave version. She is +Atk/- Hp so I'm pretty happy with that.

Mines +Def/-Res, and you’re right, he is an absolute beast.

Continuing the pattern, I was pity broken by him twice. Both +Atk, one -Def and -Res. Perfect!

I got pitybroken by W!Fae. At first I didn't want anything to do with her, but now I realise she's a great Arena bonus unit and that once her two arena weeks are over I can feed her to W!Eirika for Vengeful Fighter owo

Her defences can actually be very high with arena bonus and the right iv, I’m currently sniping for her.

With little investment i use them in AA to check some units.

Was trying to get W!Tharja for fodder, and pulled a perfect +ATK -RES Alm.

If I don’t get her before the banner ends, I guess it’s L!Hectors turn to be foddered.

Karel.
He should totally be 4*, but still. His damage with specials and the ability to wield all sorts of nifty close range skill..
Plus surprisingly good mixed bulk with his amazing hp.

Best user of the -1cd and +10 special damage weapons.

Yeah, you’re right about Karel being a 4*. I would Like a Karel, but we have Fir.

I think that with Karel vs Fir, Karel is a bit better at blasting 2cd specials.
He has more atk, and his hp allows him to take a hit from most enemies when full.

Fir however does shine with her res, she's one of the main options for DC I think. Not much can stand up to a iceberg blast from her with nameless blade.

Still, call me wierd but..
I really like Karel's coat. That's why I like him over Fir.

They’d both have their advantages, but I kinda like Fir better as she can ploy. But it’s entirely up to the players preference.

I find that I almost never use ploys outside of units like Arvis. Or units that come with em in their base kit.

I completely forgot about panic ploy. I built an Arvis for ploys as well.

Flying Nino, she's really good even if mine is -spd.

Then on the swift sparrow banner I was trying to get a better IV for my pity-breaker Flying Nino because I like her, but I got pity-broken by Mage Eirika. When I tried her out, I started liking her too.

I got a pity-breaker Hector once, you can't be mad about that.

Most of the time it's terrible though.

Most of my pity breaks have been quite nice.

M.Azurcorrin +def -HP (like seriously? wow good IVs are so hard to draw on this guy. Not the IV I prefer and I might even go for something like +spd -def over this but this is an amazing IV)
Alm (-atk though :/ ) not really a pitybreaker because I got him at base appearance rate

Innes +atk -def. I've benched him so far though. Haven't committed to the sacrifices I would need in order to build him because I don't run into that many situations where I would use him. I'm starting to get into the territory in AA where it's mostly melee units, and I'm not giving him my only Takumi.

Those are pretty good pity breakers, I’m jealous. Especially alm.

I got pitybroken by Mia (+A -D) on the brave banner. Wasn’t looking for another sword user, but hey, Mia!

I also encountered a weird trend of pulling every blue armor focus since that banner (B!Hector, H!Niles, W!Ephraim), even though I REALLY don’t need more... but they’re all pretty good so it’s ok.

I actually free summoned him on his debut banner (+Atk/-Def), then got pity broken by him in my final summon on a legendary banner.
