I think we all have one of these, a unit you have no good reason why you have put so many resources into. Mine is Mathilda (as shown below), when the counter skills banner was going on, I pulled an extra Hector and decided I needed a good DC blue, but wasn’t sure who, so I decided to sleep on it. The next morning I wake up to find Hector gone and this random 4* Mathilda at level 40 with a full skill set. After that I just said screw it and went all the way. Anyone else have any projects you can’t explain why they are there, or is tired me just crazy.
Amazing. She is dying for Berkut’s Lance and Quick Riposte Seal, IMHO.
Mine is probably Fae. Fae is a good unit as evidenced by her rampant use in Arena, but I fed her Joshua for Windsweep and Fallen Takumi for Speed Smoke, mostly just to do something different than what I typically see.
mine would have to be NY azura. pulled a atk+ res- on the banner but nvr used her cos PA azura was my goto green dancer. so i fed azura a 5* camilla for brave axe+ 5* jaffar cos i had no sothe for LnD3 galeforce from 5* cordelia chill spd3 flier formation 3 from 5* elincia and spd smoke3 from 5* sigurd. totally wasnt worth it due to my cherche being far superior with desperation3 and brash assault 3 brave axe with death blow but dont regret it cos azura can fly to allies to dance or help destroy the enemy~
Good lord man! That laslow is impressive. I have like no strong friend units cause they stopped playing and anyone I request already has max friends. Could we friend each other?
Here is my “invested much more that I should have” unit that is always my leader cause there’s no one better than him that I own.
Mine is also Mathilda. I was rolling for a Delthea on the banner they both released on and ended up with 6 of her and 0 Delthea... then I got a couple pity breakers and by +8 I figured why the hell not and upgraded a couple 4 stars.
She used to be +Res but when I decided to fully +10 her I changed her to +Atk -Def.

Mine is draug. Draug was a fairly easy armored unit to summon and I needed a powerful armor unit. He was ok when I got him up but I said, “I’m not using my feathers, let me do this”. Back when the game first came out there weren’t a lot of ways to earn feathers so I never got draug to 5 Stars. I +10 a 4 Star draug to get a good unit and save feathers, but then I thought, “no I need the 5 Star.” So I had to get 9 more draugs after I got him to 5 Stars which was a huge pain. I initially had a +Atk -res, but after the +10 he had so much health I swapped to +Atk -hp. I used summoner support on him to boost his stats further. Not done yet. His brave weapon hindered his good speed and made his Atk poor, so I got rid of it. I didn’t have any slaying edge users at the time so I got a lon qu and I upgraded him to a 5 Star, upgraded his weapon, then got the slaying edge+ and gave it to draug. I gave draug swap, ignis(now a 3 charge thanks to the weapon), and didn’t stop there. He comes with ward armor already, but in case I used him on a non armor team I gave him threaten def. (but I use he and hector on the same team so ward is always on). The units that are crazy fast are usually sword units so I gave him sword breaker. I had an extra hector lying around and gave gave draug distant counter. Then I gave him the distant def sacred seal. The amount of sp he needed was unbelievably high and it took me months to get all the draugs, sp, and orbs needed. It definitely paid off and draug is by far my strongest unit. Reinhardt still gives him trouble as all blue mages would, but draug’s only issue is strong blue mages and Effie (and now Hardin) specifically. He’s an absolute monster.
