Triangle Adept Nowi

Is TA even worth running on Nowi anymore? As far as I can tell, it's basically only there to deal with Lucina. And Lucina is much less common now.

I don't see TA on Nowi too much. I think Fury is much more common (in my experience) and works a lot better on her.

You aren't wrong with lucina not being common, although Ryoma, Xander/Eldigan and Tharja are common from my experience, i still have my TA Nowi because most red units suffer from low res (xander on Calvary teams for example) and Nowi just decimates them.

it's not just for Lucina. As you might have seen, every arena team has a red unit. You can put fury on her if you don't like TA, but it's still a viable choice imho, since it lets you kill their (mostly) core unit for free while abusing distant counter.

Yeah they all have red units, but Nowi kills those anyways without Triangle Adept.

Absolutely. With her not being fast, and most sword units having low res, TA Nowi can actually just go in and wreck them. Plus, you can very easily bait any red unit to her, and she will take little to no damage. Unless it's Lucina, of course.

I run TA + Vantage on my Nowi and she is a boss. DESTROYS all red units, fairs well against blue and colorless but gets destroyed by green. Vantage is very good on units with a distant counter.

Oh yeah, TA on her is freaking amazing. Not saying that Fury on her isn't good, but TA just gives her that boost she needs to pretty much decimate any red unit in one blow. And yes, I am fully aware of how good Vantage is on units that can attack at any distance. Pretty busted if you ask me.

Yo cant use QR and fury and expect it to work well though, and QR is a lot better on nowi than vantage.

QR is only better for the first encounter after which their life total is too low and the until is useless... with vantage a bulky unit like nowi can take the first encounter and not take further damage as vantage keeps proc'ing.

A lot of people recommended TA here, but upon consideration, I really don't think it's worth it. The point that it kills red units more effectively is kind of silly, since Nowi beats them anyways. Having TA makes her blue and colorless matchup worse by taking up the A slot, preventing Fury. TA is really only for Falchion users, and Lucina has fallen off the map the past few months.
