Trading Heroes....Thoughts?

My wife and I play Heroes and we sometimes get jealous of which hero the other pulls. I'll be pulling Siegberts, Noires, and Myrrhs while she'll be pulling Mias, Ayras, and Reinhardts [WT] (she's pulled 4 of him so far and I don't know how).
We would like for IS to implement trading heroes with those in our friends list. That way we could get the heroes we missed out in a banner, or maybe just for having a complete collection. I know it may never happen since summoning heroes is IS's best way of making money off the game, but what do you guys think of having a way to trade heroes with friends?

1) Only 3* units can be traded.
2) Can only trade once every 'x' days.
3) All merges, SP, and HM will be removed from unit upon trade.
4) Must have account active for 'x' days to trade.
5) Promotion cost of traded unit will be increased.

And a bunch of other rules to not break the game.

I've seen the idea brought up a lot, that's for sure. I wouldn't mind it myself.

Problem is, without the right limitations it's an easy system to abuse. Imagine someone continually restarting a new account, only to send the units they received from their first free summon session to their main account... over and over again.

As Krazytre mentions though, rules can prevent that. My suggestions would be equal exchange (you have to give a 5* to receive a 5*), and traded units get "reset" to level 1, 0 SP, and no inherited skills.

Also, they could add a chapter late into story mode that "unlocks" trading, so brand-new accounts won't have access.

Absolutely. It would encourage community building & socializing among users, which in turn nets more users. It also is a positive consumer feature that would garner a lot of goodwill among fans.

There's also times you straight up get hosed on a banner, while a friend pulls godlike units with ease. It'd be nice to have the ability to mitigate that crappy aspect to a small degree by allowing an option to trade, even with limitations.

Pokemon Go recently implemented trading, and put in place a ton of safeguards making it non-abusable.

1. Make it so there are 4-5 tiers of "friendship level"
2. Level up friendship by using that friend's characters in brigades or other events, or social-specific features
3. The higher "friendship tier" you're in with a friend, the more often you can trade with them.
*Example: You start at Tier 5, and can only do 1 trade ever 5 days, Tier 4, 1 trade every 4 days, Tier 3, 1 trade ever 3 days, & so on, until Tier 1 allows 1 trade a day per friend.
4. Add a "Friend Medals/Badges" similar to Arena medals or Badges, that you earn through completing battles. Only when you have enough can you trade with a friend.
5. Higher star units/higher scoring units require more "Friend Medals/Badges" to trade.
6. Local trades will be much cheaper than online trades. If you trade with friends on your friends list over internet, it will cost far more "Friend Medals/Badges" than in person (or just make all trades require local NFC period)
7. HM, SP, Level & Inherited skills will all reset to default, while IV's will stay the same.

After that, you should have enough parameters set in place to where it won't be broken, and you'll have to earn your trades.

Would be nice but it'd break the game.

You could constantly start new accounts and keep trading the units from the free summon you have between your accounts.

Would also encourage real-world trading unless it had tons of restrictions.

I’ve posted on this subject as a fan of the idea for a while now. This thought just came to me... IS could institute a 5 orb charge for the trade, or something like that, by the trad-ee. As orca equal money, money would be involved. What do you guys think about that?

That would be way to easy of a cost. It would have to be a scarse resource (legendary dew?). Maybe also reset any traded units to 1 Star, considering 1 and 2 star units no longer exist. Might as well use that option.

I like the idea someone mentioned about it being unlocked from completing story missions. Would have to be significantly far in the game and on lunatic. Requiring people to play a lot before trading, preventing people from making new accounts and trading repeatedly. That’s honestly the best safeguard.

Only issue with that is, I know I would work on a second account for that purpose. Get to that point and do nothing but summon with free orbs so I could trade to my main. Not gonna lie...

I do agree. I think these are things not on their own but we can add to Krazy’s list, because a lot of failsafes would need to fall in place for IS to buy it.
