Tough DC decisions

I just pulled an atk+/res- L!Hector. I am very happy with this, but with it comes with a hard choice. What do I do with my old normal Hector?
1) Sac him for distant counter, Myrrh is begging for it
2) Keep him around for an armor team
3) Something else
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Myrrh isn't begging for it. There are several characters who would benefit from it more. Myrrh likes Atk/Def Bond more. Or Fury, or Brazen. It isn't a total waste on her, but, you've got much better options for Myrrh.

Hold onto him until something really special comes along, like a unique merge project or some truly insane unit. A Bonfire Vantage Ares is pretty great.

If we ever get true PvP, he will allow you to run Bold Fighter for a guaranteed first round Bonfire on either Phase, tagging along with BK doing the same thing with the QR Seal, allowing two mixed phase killers on the same team.

It's usually best to invest in the units you use the most. If Myrrh is one of your favorite units, giving her DC is a great idea. And there are dozens of other heroes that can use that skill effectively. On the other hand, the two Hectors count as different heroes, so you can use them both in game modes like Arena Assault. There's not much else you can do with Hector. You can fodder him off for Goad Armor, but it's not that great of a skill. You can fodder the legendary one for Vengeful Fighter, but it sounds like you're more interested in actually using him.

Of course, if you're not sure, you can just hang on to your spare Hector. There's no reason you have to decide now.

For me there is no use in holding onto a unit you're not going to use unless that unit is your absolute favorite. I scrapped 3 original hector's so far and have 3 left.

My Joshua, florina, and Marth asked very nicely and I gave it to em. You want to make units you use better so if Myrrh will benefit and you use her a lot I say go for it. Find that perfect unit and when the time is right fodder him to that unit.

If your OG Hector has great IVs, I would advise to hold onto him. He is coming back in under 2 days on the BHB banner; if you have the orbs, try to get another you can use for DC. If you don’t have the orbs, don’t want to get another, or just don’t care, then it wouldn’t matter if you did kill the OG now.
