Too much Celica?

Ello,

I used up all my orbs as an F2P player on the legendary heroes banner (about 120). Had some amazing pulls (like +spd-HP B!Lyn), but two units I tried for eluded me. Those were Ayra most of all, but Ike too.

I wanted those more then Celica, as I already had a +speed-HP Celica, which is a really great IV for her. I built her using Fury 2, which allows her to get into Vantage range after 1 initiation, but also allows her to Renewal back to 100% for more Ragnarok destruction.

Now I pulled two Celica's, and both are +speed-Def. That also looks quite amazing. I am F2P, so merging her seems like a bad idea. It won't really give me a unit I'll use in Arena over something with a higher BST, and she has a really good A-skill to inherit.

Is that A-skill really that amazing though?

Is there another amazing build I should try on her?

Advice is much appriciated!

Her A Skill is what keeps her alive. I recommend inheriting her A Skill. Merging seems a bit pointless in this case. She'll get an extra point in Speed and HP but eh...

And I wanted Ayra too but got Ike, Bride Cordelia, and Genny from that banner.

I mostly wanted Celica during that banner as mine is -SPD but got a bad IV Ayra (copy) and my first Ike not perfect IV *doh*
Rngesus is cruel at times ^^

I would advise merging if you plan to play long-term because you will never get to high merges if you dont start somewhere. I also think that DD is a vastly overrated a-slot except for very specific circumstances ( I honestly don't think its the best option on a single unit)

If you have him, Xander can do well with Distant Defense.

Love those Celicas though.
Mine was cursed with -Atk +Hp Ivs, which is like the worst spread for her ^^

Tried to mitigate that with L&D and +Atk seal, works well ^^

Well, -Def is actually quite a good bane for Celica making merging very tempting, not to mention how merges would help fix her lower Arena weighting.

Personally I recommend keeping her for fodder if you’re F2P since Distant Defence is still quite difficult to come by right now, but if you’re planning to use her as your primary red then merging is the way to go.

As Nezyrael mentioned, DD is quite niche and can be replaced with other skills that perform similarly, but it is still very useful and even mandatory on units like Guard Bow Faye or Jakob, Felicia, Healers, and even units like Xander, Camus, or BK.

What are you on? Celica is AMAZING, especially with those IV's. Ragnarok is an amazing tome and combined with LaD, gives her a +10/+10 boost to Attack and Speed. With Glimmer buffed, she now has the potential for insane damage output. She also comes with Renewal. which syncs perfectly with Ragnarok. Go check her page for all the builds, but the build I'd recommend is:

Weapon: Ragnarok
Support Skill: Reciprocal Aid
Special: Glimmer/Moonbow
A Skill: Life and Death 3 (Life and Death 2 still works as a budget option)
B Skill: Renewal 3
C Skill: Flexible
Sacred Seal: Flexible
