tips for deleting

hi all, my hero storage is full (450) once again and so i was wondering how you deal with this ? is there any list of total trash heroes that aren't even inheritance fodder, and do you keep 3* with useful skills at 4* even if they aren't currently needed ?

absence of renaming/notes in game makes it hard for me to keep best IV of each hero so i just let them build up then have to clear a little space before each summon round - is there a better way ?

A good tip is to merge 4* units that you think you might be interested in building later. Merge it into the best IV one, and then let them sit around until you get bored and ready to finish a build.

You could merge the useful 4 star units. Or send home trash three stars(ie. Raigh, Merric, Gwendolyn, etc.)

She's pretty much a blue Sheena. A wall with low attack.
Good candidate for 4*+10 merging for score bonuses in arena, and has good fodder.
However, she's not the best for story mode.

She's not absolute garbage, but why try to build her as a tank when you can just build an Effie to better effect with near the same effort? The best tanks (Zelgius, Hardin, Myrrh, etc.) are all ones that can not only take a hit, but also hit back hard. Gwendolyn, on the other hand, really only has speed as a standout stat, hits like a noodle, and does not have stupendous defenses. She's like a worse Nephenee with armor movement. If I want to make a blue armor on a budget, I'll use Effie.

In short, Wendy isn't absolute garbage (unlike in FE6, where she is quite possibly the worst unit in any FE game ever), but isn't exactly great either.

Because Gwendoly, by deffault is worse, yes. The good thing about this is that she is frequent enough to the point where you can 4 star merge her to +10 for arena score since you likely want a +10 5 star Effie due to her power at 5 stars. Making effie a 4 star merged is fine, but its not her best thats for sure.

PhoenixMaster made a list of useless units to send home, also to mark good IV units I just heart them.

sounds like what i am after to avoid checking this site every time for best iv's and moves that can be inherited. happen to know a link or where i can find this trash list ?

for 3*s, i only keep the ones with valuable skils like fury, vantage, desperation, darting blow, etc. it's also good to keep units like arthur, donnel, barst, and nino (just off the tip of my tongue) because of support skills like swap, reciprocal aid, reposition, and drawback.

otherwise, units with hone and fortify are also nice to keep but odds are you have a plethora of them at 4* anyway.

once my barracks get full, i end up just giving away skills to my optimal IV 4* units, kinda like slowly and eventually building them up.

if you're like me, i pull on green more than i do red so i have more bartres than i do hinatas so if a unit wants fury, i just give them Fury 2 unit i get hinata or until they get to 5*. same thing can be done with units like Effie, Hawkeye, Subaki, etc.

edit: another thing i thought of is i only keep a few copies of each healer except maria and wrys because of miracle and heavenly light

A bit late, but you can just favorite the units with good IVs, even if its a 3* version of said unit. You will need to do a pretty big session of checking IV's, but its worth it.

Also, like other people said you can build 4*+10 merges of units you have a lot of coppies of, dont plan on making them 5* and dont have too many skills for inheritance. Est, Olivia, Virion, Raigh and a a lot of healers come to mind.Even if they arent the greatest a 4*+10 unit with a decent build can hold its own
Generally merging units and inheriting skills is what empties my baracks. I do sit at 473/475 heroes rn tho... oops

Lastly you can start building slowly all of your 5* if you see that you have the right fodder.

All of these require some feathers, so its a good choice to put on hold any merging projects for a week or two and do that if you dont want to expand your barracks more. You might just empty your baracks enough for quite a while and build some suprisingly decent units.
