I freaked out because I was in the middle of farming HM in Rival Domains when it happened. Luckily, nothing noticeable changed with the unit layouts.

Apparently, according to one of the comments on the Reddit post regarding this update, the change was made to fix Lute's artist's name:

What a curious little fix. That's really just weird in my eyes. But yeah I freaked out as well. Was doing some of the reddit challenges XD

No... no way they bothered to do that just for a tiny bit about an artist's cred.. they slipped something in there.. something slithered into our phones and into that game's data...

If you take a really close look, you'll notice that every hero in your barracks has been transformed into Nowi. That's the secret change.
