Time to upgrade Roy?

I've been holding onto a 4* +Spd/-Res Roy for a long time, not upgrading him because he wasn't exactly a strong unit, but do you think it's time for me to build him up? Quick Riposte 5 does sound really good. Or since he got demoted to 3*/4*, would it be better for me to try and build a 4*+10 version (I don't care about staying in T20 Arena so I have no intention of building supermerged 5* units)

I'm having a lot of fun with my 5* no merge Roy with:
IV: +Atk/-Hp
Special: Iceberg
A: Fury 3
B: Vantage 3
C: Threaten Spd 3
S: Threaten Atk 3

its nothing special but he is fairly fun to use. The new update to his weapons compliments this build quite well however I'm considering swapping the A slot for DC. Iceberg also can be replaced with Luna if need be. Vantage can also be replaced by Wrath if you really wanna invest, unfortunately I already inherited by Wrath. Anyway yea he looks really solid with the new update and has a ton of enemyphase potential. Likely a breath skill + Aether is another solid option if your willing to go that route.

I don't have the resources to go that far (nor the orbs to get myself a B!Ike and Nephenee from the banner). Quick Riposte 5- Vantage 3 does sound nice though.

lol yea, I did a yolo single summon off of it and god Neph, instantly leveled to 40 for the conversation then foddered off for my Bartre

... Bartre? To each his own I suppose.
