Time to say goodbye...
Hey there fellow Summoners. Today I am announcing my complete retirement from Fire Emblem Heroes.
I will admit that Fire Emblem Heroes is fun to play and it contained a lot of my favorite heroes, and eventually having new favorite heroes as well. While it's good and all, sometimes I get a little too ambitious on getting which heroes I want since I have spent quite a lot of money into this game. That ambition is the reason why I can't save up for other things I want in my life, such as getting the Nintendo Switch.
When the game app first came out, it was alright at launch, but it became truly addicting when I have found a strong solid team that served all-purpose for me and doing all sorts of things that were challenging. I enjoyed having to raise my heroes to their optimal form and I also enjoyed doing a lot of Tempest Trials. But I also enjoyed being part of this community, asking and answering questions from time to time. I felt that was the most fun for me because I wasn't the type to communicate with complete strangers, but I decided to anyway.
So yeah, it's been fun and all. It does sadden me that I will have to abandon my favorite heroes on that app. They will be remembered.
What I plan to do during my complete retirement... I plan on pursuing my dream goal of being a manga artist. So every day, I would pull out my sketchbook and draw characters, weapons and sometimes certain animals. I never really try to draw fanart since I'm not a fan of doing it myself (but will eventually have a change of mind or something). I would often practice drawing just about every day so that I would find my own art style, making out proper proportions and maybe I'll ask Intelligent Systems to use some of my artwork for future heroes not in the game. (Ha... that's a wishful thinking. I do admire the artwork done by many artists in FE:H.)
In conclusion... I have been thinking about quitting FE:H for a long time now, but ultimately decided to do so before the new year. I know this would mean I will miss out on new events and new heroes over time, but I can honestly afford to ignore all that and move onto my greater interest in my life. I will miss being part of this community as well since it does mostly involve FE:H. I probably spent over $3,000~4,000 onto this game, so... that definitely left a dent into my wallet.
So yes, this is farewell. I wish the best of luck on your endeavors and don't try to spend so much on this game like I did.

As a free to play player who understands those kind of problems with gambling or just compulsive behaviours towards something you really want even though it doens´t give you any fulfilment I can say with all respect you have made the right decision!!
Don't give up on your dreams even if they seem to big and you're scared!

Changed myself from 2000 Euro whale to f2p. So far I enjoy more. If you can control ur urge, you can still enjoy the game. Since I changed to f2p, I only feel little disappointment on banner but its far better than before where I get stressed since I was using my money to pull banner. You realized IS actually give you quite alot of Orbs to stay f2p. But GL!
