Time to replace Xander?

Xander has been an absolute workhorse for me as the anchor for my horse emblem team for the past year or so with reinhardt, Cecilia/Gunnthra, and an alternate fourth spot that switches between savage blow priscilla, camus, and B!Lyn. He is running standard Fury/QR build.

However, I've been accumulating some solid Calvary swords and I wonder if it's time for Xander to step down to the second tier calvary squad to make room for one of these fellas. Safe to assume no merging for this team.

Options for replacing Xander as main tank in horse emblem team:
-Exalted Chrome (+Res/-HP and +Atk/- Def)
-Ares (+Atk/-spd and +Atk/-res)
-Eldigan (+Def/-Atk and +HP/-Atk)
-Sigurd (+HP/-Atk)

I would suggest Ares. Since not only you have the best IV (+Atk,-res), he's also easier to merged.

Is your Xander merged? Since he can get up to +3 I would suggest using him at least untill you can merge the replacement a bit more

Also you have to consider that xander has a DC weapon and has pretty high def to bait a lot of units both ranged and melee and you will lose that since your other sword cavs dont have DC

As for the replacement I would go with Ares since he is a really solid unit and the easiest one to merge in the future
+Atk -Res is one of the Ideal IVs for Ares

Dunno, dc is really good, combined with cav buffs you can have super speedy enemy phase Xander that can tank one magical hit thanks to his absurd hp for cavalry unit.
Other presented units are more selfsufficient and overall stronger but they lack DC so you won't be able to bait ranged units with them, if thats uniportant then i vote for Sigurd, he might be weaker in tearms of ORKHO but can tank both magic and physical hits so he is closer to role that Xander himself filled in that team.
