So I played off and on from launch (it got stale, the first/last time I quit was when there were no free summons) And i'm curious if anyone knows when they actually demoted units like Clair, maria. Camilla, Cain and other gen 1s. I'm looking to see if there is a trend, as they lowered a couple following a 4-5star fodder banner (Klein namely if I remember right) and i'm curious when some heroes are going to be phased down. But as the follow up to that, what do you think IS will do when we have to many in each color in the normal pool?
They may start demoting units that have recurring skills as newer units become available. For example, Nephenee could be a candidate if another Wrath user becomes available and we already have Karla as the other one with the skill. And it follows the trend of special refined weapons. We've seen Roy, Caeda, Camilla, and Merric demoted from the 5* pool but they have useful refines.
They demoted nearly all the 4-5 star summon-able heroes to the 3-4 star range around the end of April. It was the last FEH channel.

The only other weird unit thing to happen was Kaze, he was released as a grand conquest reward during golden week but then was added to the pool a few weeks later.
They've yet to make any changes to the exclusive 5 star pool, but the demotion cleaned out a lot (most) of the poor units. They'll have to demote some 5 stars eventually but I doubt they will for another year, or until they start getting lots of complaints submitted to the feedback.
Starting on the banner accompanying Tiki and Nowi's BHB, units that were 4-5* version were demoted to 3-4*, though it applied to those introduced before Book II. If we get a Book III, there may be time before units like Sothe and Male Morgan get the same treatment.
If we have too many...yeah, I could see some 5* exclusives being demoted. Probably units that have been around for a while, like Linde and Julia.
An interesting question. Book 1 had 13 chapters and we currently have 10 chapters of Book 2, we usually get a chapter every 1-2 months with new unit banners. If they choose to do 13 chapters again 3.0 will probably be around October-December.
A better question may be when will the next FEH channel be? They were doing them about every 3 months and the last one was April 9th. We should have one in the next month, probably announcing the CYL2 banner, and the next new game mode that's apparently coming.
