The Tier list changes are bad

The reason I used gamepress at all was to check out the arena lists for the best team builds, the recent arena tier list change has completely ruined this. I don't know which person thought of it but as many have already said the changes were unnecessary and disruptive. Tier 1* was a great way to tell which units really stood out, but by reshuffling To move the units that were in tier 1 Into tier 2 the units now appear to be less useful. This is of course absolute bullshit but it's undeniable that "A unit is in Tier 1" sounds better than "A unit is in Tier 2" even if they haven't really been demoted. I get many people don't care but it's an annoying change for me and I as well as some others would prefer the arena tier list to go back to the way it was or just make a 1* tier. If it doesn't change I'll wave this place goodbye and use gamepedia which at least has a better tiering system. Regardless, thank you for the help you've provided me gamepress and I'll miss coming here.

Why not just have tiers 1*****, 1****, 1***, 1**, 1* and 1 to soothe ur feelings while were at it?

But no, the answer is keep the 1* and demote when necessary. I just want the 1* rank to come back thanks for your input tho.

I did not realize that 1 * and 1 were different tiers. I thought it was just like , " hey this is Tier 1 which makes it pretty special so we're going to draw your attention to it"

Or maybe Tier 1, your mileage may vary, read the small print, exceptions apply, consult a doctor before use.

I think 1* is dumb, same with things like S+ in a tier system, if they stand out it means they're better, hence them being in a tier on there own, those tools are only used when there isnt enough characters to justify a new tier (fox being alone in S+ for melee, MM for injustice one and so on) and so now that power creep is real, they've shifted

Tier like S+ only makes sense for games with frequent balance changes. For example in LOL there are times when a character is so incredibly OP that he/she has a >95% pick/ban rate and is nerfed in a hotfix a few days later. Those deserve a completely new tier just for themselves.
However in FEH we don't have those broken heroes, because of skill inheritance. A unit would need a broken prf weapon + broken prf special + broken a/b/c skill to be considered OP with no way of rebuilding the unit slighly weaker(with SI).

Edit: I mean 1 extra skill on the a/b/c slot of course, not all 3.

I feel you to some extent that when a few heroes are dropped down, especially for what could be seen as nit picky reasons, it's frustrating.

But one of the reasons I use gamepress is to avoid the very thing you're suggesting. Gamepedia's ranking system is absurd because of the gratuitous + and - they have for what is only 4 letters (S-C). It makes it look like they can't make a decision to call a hero crap for fear of upsetting people. That may not be the case, but it certainly looks like it. Unless you believe that Odin shouldn't be in a F rank.

But despite you saying "if it doesn't change," it sounds like you made your decision already. Which, more power to you, but then why make this post then?

I love this wiki I really do, so when something happens that I don't like I write about it to try and voice my opinion. If the site remains as it is I will stop using it in part because I dont think any amount of whining will get it back and also because Im just someone who does not like the changes and will thus align to a site more my preference. I understand the mods are all volunteers so no hate to em but I disagree that the changes are overall beneficial and if not changed I will simply leave with good wishes to all other summoners as I don't think anyone who likes the changes is an idiot or anything because we just have different opinions.

Tier rankings should only be used as general idea, since they’re all subjective to the one who makes it.

Not agreeing to a tier list isn’t a good reason to stop using this site, which is full with much more information than just a tier.

Lets make the tiers count up, so tier 7 is the best and tier 1 is the worst

Most of tier ratings and builds presented are worthless. The gamepress guys are completly clueless and useless. Selena is tiers 6. When she is a great character when built properly. Just ignore them and use the site as a wiki.
