Thoughts on Stats for new units?

I find myself most impressed by Shigure's stats, surprisingly. Hinoka is basically BLyn but -1 Atk -1 Def +2 HP +1 Res. Definitely along the lines of what I expected.

Really bummed that FKana's Atk is so low. I can't decide what to do with her, but at least she won't be copy-paste Lightning Breath now. She'll be a bit more interesting as a speedy dragon with better BST than Bitchy Grima.

Holy crap, Kaze has such high resistance. Is Felicia getting some competition? (Not including merge potential)

I pray M!Kana, and F!Kana, have interesting weapons because their attack aren't necessarily that impressive.

M!Kana and Kaze have me so interested.

Kaze looks pretty good, decent attack for his class, Shigure is deadly fast, these two are the ones I note.

Thank God Hinoka stats weren't butchered. People were saying her attack was going to be as low as 26 XD. She definitely is really good imo. Kaze is surprising as I thought he was gonna have garbage attack but he doesn't. Granted I don't know if he's gonna be good as he is a dagger unit and 30 attack is similar to the other under used dagger units. He basically has the same stats as S! Gaius and he isn't used much. M!Kana looks like a good free unit that's actually worth investing into. Haven't gotten one of those in a while.

One reason why S!Gaius isn't used much is because he's a seasonal, so most players don't even have him.

Not to mention most people tend to compare every bow unit to B!Lyn, so when they see they're not up to par with her, the community automatically lumps them into the "trash" category. Quite sad. :(

WF!Hinoka's okay. As you said, she's pretty much B!Lyn on a Flying mount.

Shigure is looking quite nice with 33 Atk / 37 Spd. I'm kinda hoping that I get him as the free pull.

I like how balanced both F!Kana and M!Kana are. Atk is a bit low, but you can really get really creative with how you build them.

Kaze is pretty great as well as a mage tank. I don't have a Felicia built up, so I could build him as one for Arena Assault.

Why are is his (Shigure's) stats that good? I never though he had that good of stats in Fates? Although it's been a hot minute since I've played Fates because I'd rather play other games in the series than revisit Fates. Also is it just me or do some of these new characters not look that great visually, M!Kana and Shigure? Granted at least they aren't Gunther or Ogma

Because they were created by different artists. The same people don't always make character art, hence why M!Kana looks different from F!Kana, why Kaze looks different, why Hinoka looks different than her regular counterpart, etc.

It'd be pretty boring if every character had the exact same art style. I actually like M!Kana's art, and Shigure's art makes him look like he has an aura of confidence, authority, and divinity to him.

I know there are different artists but I just feel some of these new characters I personally don't like the art style for. Especially compared to say the previous batch of new heroes from Thracia.

Literally different strokes for different folks. It's just a matter of preference. The only characters I don't like the art for is Ogma, normal Eliwood, Gunter, Jagen, and Arthur.

There's also Lloyd, but we don't speak of him and his drug addiction.

Edit: The same person that designed Kaze also designed Kagero, so.. yeah.

Edit 2: Same person that designed Hinoka also made Micaiah, PA!Olivia, and F!Grima.

Same person that made Shigure also made Clarisse, Navarre, Niles, PA!Shigure, Sonya, and Subaki.

Shigure can work well as neutral, like a better version of Tana with higher BST but minus the legendary weapon.
