Thoughts on Saias

While i was looking at Saias' page i remember that he is Arvis' son and i kind of decided to compare their stats between eachother. When i looked at the rating tho, i kind of felt... confused. Saias has more bulk compared to Arvis (3 more point in HP and 1 more point in both Def and Res) while sacrificing a point in both Atk and Spd. And he also has a better colour compared to Arvis since Arvis is gonna be blasted into the atmosphere by the memelord Reinhardt while Saias may even resist a bit better since there is no color advantage between them. And yet Arvis is rated better than his son. Is it because of his b-slot unique skill? Also, Saias has Spd Ploy by default giving him less SP to grind since he can just equip the Def Ploy seal and he'lll safely ploy everything with a build similar to his father (with fury he reaches 37 which is barely enough to debuff even those Res monsters of H!Henry and W!Tharja if they are neutral Res). I'm recovery ring is an amazing recovery tool that allows Arvis to function as a great pseudo-healer.

You have to remember competition... There are many great blue units, several being mages, already. Saiais is fighting not only for the magic spot on the team but the blue spot as well.

There really are not that many great red mages compared to other colors, so Arvis can be rated higher compared to his competition. Arivs also has the plus of being a support def-buffer and a healer with his unique b-skill.

Add to this the fact that the other red mages, pre-2.4.0, required a WHOLE LOT of SI (Lilina/Sanaki/Lyon in particular). All you would have needed to get going with Arvis is Fury and a 3-turn Special.

But Arvis might have trouble Ploying some of the green cast, like Myrrh, Fae, Winter Lissa, Deirdre, or rather in general, some greens have high Resistance. Saias doesn't have this problem. Most reds and blues suffer with low Resistance and that gives Saias an edge over his father. And he can tank some Spellhardt builds, unlike his father. So you can say at least Saias is one lower than his father.

Compared to Arvis, Saias is not as versatile since he doesn't have Recovery Ring to heal him every turn (and act as a pseudo-healer) or add to Arena scoring. Both are great debuffers, but Saias is outclassed somewhat in this regard by another blue mage, Lute. Though Saias is a f2p alternative and a solid bonus unit for Arena if you haven't gotten anyone from the Thracia banner.

And they rate him on par with someone like Oliver??? Wth I don't think he deserves that treatment.
