Thoughts on Kaze

I was pleasantly surprised with Kaze's appearance in the recent new heroes trailer. Judging from the datamine, his stats (other than DEF/RES) appears to be similar, and arguably even better than Saizo's (-1 HP/ +1 ATK/ +2 SPD). Other than his Barb Shuriken, Kaze seems like another subpar dagger unit who is completely outclassed by S!Kagero and Sothe.

I agree. He has his niche as sorta nothing. Some dagger units just simply outclass him. Just kill him for that Dagger, unless you want to use him, then he still is a good option.

He also has Atk Smoke, which is fantastic because only Brave Lyn had it.

He can play a role that Kagero and Sothe can't: mage baiting. Although Felicia is slightly better at this due to her unique weapon, Kaze can deal more raw damage than her. I plan to give him a mage killing role: Barb Shuriken (+Res/Spd) Mirror Stance/Atk/Res Bond/DD3 give him decent results.

Agreed. That build paired with a Kitty Paddle+, Kaze becomes another nightmare for mages. I think I'm gonna use him as an offensive unit; guess I can finally kill that 4* Oliver for Mirror Strike.

Not the most beautiful man of all.
But yeah, he's sorta of a budget Felicia who starts out good.
