Making old characters viable through skill refinery:
The idea being that new skills are constantly being added. Some being better than others and some outclassing them (Defiant vs. Brazen) which has me thinking what could be done with the past obsolete skills?
An easy solution is skill refinery/skill combining.
My proposal is that IS implements a system where old skills can be used to create new better skills (or combat manuals that contain the skill and nothing else)
Let me explain how this would work. Let's use the Defiant vs Brazen comparison. Brazen's are """arguably""" better since they buff 2 stats at a much higher HP threshold meanwhile Defiant skills only buff 1 at a much lower threshold. By allowing players to take 3 units with Defiant Atk 3, and 3 units with Defiant Def 3; the player could potentially combine them to create a Brazen Atk/Def 3 combat manual.
This could be implemented with other skills too. Such as 5 copies of both Pass and Obstruct being combined to create a Guidance combat manual.
Combinations could be costly which still means you'd have to pull the required units, and to combine you could even implement having to spend a large amount of arena medals.
Rare and sought out skills could be crafted at a high price (for example 10 copies each of a common skill and maybe 1k+ arena medals?) and so forth.

This way of skill-refining would definitely be nice for the players, but not heartless enough for IS. I'm afraid that if skill refining, or something along those lines, gets added to the game, it will use some new rare currency, that will be non-grindable and the devs will give us just enough to upgrade one skill per month. Kind of like they are blue-balling us now with just enough divine dew to upgrade one weapon monthly while giving us 3+ prf weapon refines monthly.
A good idea tho, I would like a system like you proposed.

I really like the idea, this makes it much easier to gain access to rare skills, like SS (using 3 units with Darting/Death Blow), that most of us will regret killing for. Don’t you think it’s too expensive? Killing 10 units to only then get a premium skill is crazy, I think it should be 3 of each skill, 6 units altogether. For every skill.
Some skills like Seal skills are heavily outdated and outclassed by Smoke skills. Wishing that IS could make a skill refine for these skills and make them cancerous by giving them a ‘Peshkatz’ effect. Maybe even call them ‘Steal Skills.’
