Thoughts on CC Reinhardt?

So I happen to pull a Takumi, my second since the beginning and even then I didn't get lucky enough to get him until like, Halloween. The timing as amusing because I also just happened to pull Halloween Jakob, so Takumi was destroyed for the greater good.

Anyway, because I pulled him again I was thinking about who to put Close Counter on, this time a mage with a decent defensive stat. I REALLY did not want to put it on a horse unit because I have three horse teams ready to go due to experiments and lucky pulls. Well, I wanted to make a CC blue mage, I don't know why blue but my brain went in this direction.

Looked into flier first, but I forgot there's only one, is limited, and has a low defensive stat. Looked into infantry and didn't feel like doing the traditional Robin...and what upsets me is that in 2nd place for highest defensive blue mages is Odin; I now have an upset stomache.

I caved in and ended up doing this for Reinhardt, even though I already happened to have one who is +Atk-HP. Due to blue summoning I happened to pull several Reinhardts. One of them was +Def - Spd.

Tested CC on him at 4stars still using Thoron...I liked it. And you'll see in the picture my build for him. Whatever the case, I'm curious as to how you feel about him.

That is definitely an interesting new take on our Reinhardt here. I am amazed by the dedication and sacrifice that went into this tank. Yeah in conclusion, just work for that QR3 and the meta will see a new type of lord.

Yea I was just being a stubborn nut and didn't have a crap ton of time to think about it. I pulled Takumi the last 20 minutes of my 1 hour lunch break so I was lookin' up units who I thought could use his CC as fast as I could.

Didn't take long to realize I wanted a blue mage as the CC focus, just not Robin. But yea, I really liked it when I tested it whilst leveling him. I played him a lot in the magic thingy for special maps, where all the enemies are Tanks with low res. Building him was fast as hell. Worked on it long enough to decide I'll give him my spare Maes Owl Tome and other things.

I'm unsure how to answer that. ...Both? But more fun? I play this game more or less only because I need something to do on my Lunch breaks, though I do play it a lot during free time at home.

I still have that Meta Reinhardt, he's fully built and still very much a 5star. He's part of my 2nd horse emblem.

This one...was literally JUST because I wanted blue mage CC unit that was NOT Robin. I am disappointed in my choices, I don't like how many weaknesses Calvary has these days. There was no choice for me, well I could have been patient and waited but I never liked Takumi when I met him in the Awakening game. I obliterate him from both my team, and roster.

No matter what, Magic is Everything will still be hated on because of his default kit making him a "brain dead" choice for Horse Emblem teams. It's pretty much his reputation at this point, which is kind of a shame. Being so good that the community hates you, xD.

Meanwhile, units like Ayra, Mia, LA!Hector, etc, are put on a pedestal.

Yea...Whatever the case, I still like my Olwen a lot. She instantly became my absolute favorite unit when she came out, even though I pulled a really bad one -Atk + HP.

Just wish I could pull her for merges >_< Stupid 5 star restrictions!

That's....different. I think a Res refinement might be better for a mix tank build, cause why not?

Yea, I get yer point. That unfortunately means less damage from bonfire though. He's currently in a Horse Emblem team with full calvary buffs at his disposal but I'm thinking about just making a Warding team just for him. Might change my 3rd horse team just to do that >_<

I'll figure something out, heavily debating on changing his Seal but I kinda like it. The initial plan was to use QR3 seal with Vantage, but his defensive seal is working wonders for him. The only issue at the moment is green wolf tomes...Not a whole lot to worry about.
