Thoughts on armors with mid speed

Kinda want to know what the general idea is about armors with around 28-32 speed.

Like Hardin, +spd Brave/Winter Ephraim, +spd Winter Fae. Ect.

This isn't a question about how to fix a specific unit, but more about about how would you deal with it.

Would you try to make a build using the speed and how'd you do it?
Or do you prefer to make a 'lesser' version of another build, ignoring the speed (until you get a unit with better IV)

For me it depents on how COOL the unit is.

If we'd be talking about W!Ephraim then for sure.
If we'd be talking about W!Fae then no.

I accually like Fae and Myrrh.

The more speed, the better. You prevent a lot of doubles on EP and can double without VF on units who completely dump their speed stat. I run -HP on my M!Grima instead of -Spd because of this.

With or without that speed, running SB/WB with BF would be a good choice. Special Fighter might be less useful as you're preventing doubles from average speed stats, but that can change depending on the unit and build.

Attack would be better on a lot of units, but until then, you get what you're given. I personally wouldn't make a build that was speed oriented because you start making builds that focus entirely on speed and nothing else. They're interesting, but can be very situational and you're focusing on a unit's weakness(Or even just something that isn't their strength) as a strength.

I run my Sheena with +Spd for arena scoring but love that she avoids so many doubles with 32ish speed, and doubles speed-dumped armors on player phase (and has vengeful fighter). Her resistance is good, so I run Spd Ploy which just helps the whole strategy.

I think all options are open.

Boost: especially with stuff like the darting stance seal and goad armour, they can often get into the upper 30s. Good option for PvE, maybe less so against player-built units who often find 45+ spd if merged or buffed. Or just get their spd to something like 32 so that their forced doubles work against wary fighters and their forced undoubles might work against faster bold fighters (ex: Tiki, Zelgius)

Ignore: 28 is a decent number for blocking doubles from moderately slow units like Micaiah, Leo, Deirdre, Myrrh, some Bartres, neutral or -spd Nowi/Fae.

Dump: maybe you want to get doubled, like steady stance 4 W.Fae. Or maybe you want your HP for panic ploy or potentially even resisting Aversa. But if you got the speedy version then it's a choice between the first two.
