Thinking of doing an Azama merge project. (And also future projects)

Because I think he's the best choice among healers as a C Duel Infantry candidate (I have one Loki on hold).

He's one of the best cheerleaders in chipping damage (alongside Jaffar), and he will never steal kills, plus he can heal if necessary. So there it is. I'm strongly likely to make him a merge project.

Next I might reconsider Marth, but only at the time when R Duel Infantry becomes a thing. He's one of the best buff providers now (invisible ones).

If you're gonna go for Azama, then +Def/-Atk is the best IV you want. Helps increase his physical bulk, and -Atk will help in not stealing kills from your bonus unit. Granted, Loki herself is not a bad healer herself, but Azama is also pretty good now.

This is how I would build Azama, as a recommendation if you need ideas:
Pain+ (+Wrathful/Dazzling), Recover+/Restore+, Windfire/Earthwater Balm+, C Duel Infantry 3, Wrathful/Dazzling Staff 3, Savage Blow 3, Savage Blow 3

I, myself, am using Sothe as my colorless cheerleader for a mass debuffer/buffer, but for a healer, I say go for Azama.

Why Dazzling/Wrathful on B slot? I only need Dazzling refine. Besides, I have no extra Veronica or Loki for either balm. I'm considering Guard so that I won't charge their special while chipping. And yes double Savage Blow. For special, I might go Miracle.

Been using azama as my healer for about a year. As you said, guard in B slot. I like fortress def in A slot because it's cheap and effective but there are better options, I switch between miracle and imbue for special, the seal was always savage blow but power creep has hit azama and units can bust through his defense fairly easy these days even with his +def iv. Lately I've switched to close defense.

Have fun building him!
