Is there general theory on 32/32/32/15 statlines on physical melee units?

Characters that have good atk, spd, and def but low res. If I understand correctly this is what they call a brawler or duelist. Examples include NY Camilla, Barst, and Arthur +spd -res. Linus and Marth kind of fit this statline too but their prfs put them in a special category (so theoretically, they would be fine with some of these general templates)

On glass cannons we tend to say fury+desperation, or maybe swift sparrow or L&D. Is there a "default" or "cookie cutter" setup for statlines like these? Do we expect them to one-round? Who do we expect them to one-round? I actually don't have that much experience with this type because I tend to prefer ranged attackers.

I was wondering whether renewal might be a reasonable way to try to avoid desperation in order to use higher charge specials consistently.

Common slaying weapon + SB + bonfire/ignis + QR or SB Aether.
Wo Dao etc + SB + moonbow/ignis + QR.
I see many units with that kind of statline and QR is always the key. I just can't think of any better skill than QR for non Armor melee units nowadays unless they have specific niche or has crazy speed.

Well, fury is just a budget option imo actually. There are close/distant def, brazens and bond skills nowadays. All are good (perhaps better) alternative but you can always be creative and go for uncommon skills like stance/fortress def. Though def bond has a reliable +5 def with an extra 5 points on another stats without sacrificing any points in atk, so I hardly see it being practical unless on a budget.

Point being, it feels like as long as you have a QR, any unit will be strong enough generally.

And of course, for budget skills TA is the best.

It's a very flexible stat spread, you can make them into anything you want. Have a look at my Camilla:
