Theorycrafting with Ryu: Raigh

He had the highest votes first so he got the next build. Unfortunately this will seem a tad bland/cookie cutter but I've included a specific iv set and calculations to reason why the build is worth it.

Yes it is a basic raven adept build, but it is what enables Raigh to perform the best as a red mage. He lacks as much raw attack a Lillina or Sanaka to be as good at the one shot magic nuke and despite that, he actually performs fairly well with this build.

Greens: Hector is actually unable to kill Raigh even if attacked first and Raigh can double and kill him unbuffed unless that Hector is a speed boon, or given Hone Armor/speed to prevent it.
Unbuffed Sheena? dies. Most common axe users have awful resistance and the ones that dont are often slow with some choices but most will either die, or be left very low if Raigh is not buffed, or his special uncharged.

Reds: Raigh will lose to most any meta red mages, he can double and slowly out duel Lillina/Sanaki, but the more commom and much faster reds will be better at solo fighting against him and are recommended to be avoided. Swords however will die. Unless they also have swordbreaker which is very uncommon with any commonly used sword heroes, Raigh will be able to double attack and (usually) kill them since they tend to run low on resistance as well. L&D Ryouma can't 1 shot Raigh without an attack boon and he'll just die on the second hit. Raigh will be unable to 1 round some of the rising underdog lords like Eliwood however due to their unusually high resistance but he certainly takes out most of their health for easy clean up and they generally wont be able to 1 shot Raigh from their own attack save for +atk, deathblow 3 Eliwood (barely). A charged Luna lets him kill these outliers with ease.

Colorless: Waifu Cordelia, the ultimate of archers will fail to slay Raigh and simply get blasted by his charged special after (not that he needs it). Wrathful staff mages get even less effective results thanks to his resistance being higher.

Blues: No. Just no...

Essentially he is built to function as a hard counter to greens and colorless (archers) units your enemy team has as well as being able to 1 round a good number of meta sword users at the same time, giving him a wide range of usefulness in any team yo need him for. Very useful for Chain Challenges, Tempest Trials, Arena Assaults, and even some GHB matches.

Actually something about bounty hunters going after her friend jaffar made her leave I think

It depends on who she marries (because yes, that was a thing back then as well). Jaffar and Merric were her candidates. If she gets together with Jaffy, the bounty hunters come for him, he vanishes to not involve his family, and Nino leaves her kids in an orphanage and goes off to get him back. If Merric wins her heart, SHE gets attacked because of ties to the Black Fang and flees, and Merric responds the same way Nino did for Jaffar. Either way, the chronicler doesn't know what became of the couple after that.

I dig it. Although Raigh does not have as many 'wins' when compared to +atk Sophia when built as a Red Raven user, he does score the KO against Hector, which is a big deal. That's a big factor when picking your red unit, especially in a meta where many people are skipping the red unit all together...

If I were to do a theorycraft on Raigh, I would have rather focused the commentary/explanation section to "why he is more optimal and unique than Sophia or Sanaki with the same build?"

The fact is, Sophia has the same rarity and use the Raven-TA-swordbreaker build way better. Sophia is in fact the best Red Mage to use this build.
While Sanaki, even if she isn't as good as Sophia to run this build, she has 2 advantages over Sophia, that makes her unique (else than her 5* exclusive rarity) :
1) She doesn't rely on Atk buffs to land OHKO thanks to her higher atk stat.
2) She fights the other Red Mages better thanks to her better Spd, Atk and Res (the 2 latters being the top among the Red Mages).

Now, what does gothic Midoriya (aka Raigh) has that makes him better than any of those two ?
-Nothing. He is an in-between version of Sophia and Sanaki that will perform worse than any of them... and he is a little gothic... pure garbage.

If you wanna make one of your lovers a real beast (at least as good as they can be), tell me, and if I like the suggestion (of hero) I'll work on the optimal set up for him (but it might be costly in IS, especially for a F2P , I'm F2P too but hey, POWERRRR)

Yeah, I quoted "optimal" since I honestly didn't know a great Full Support for Delthea.... And Seal Def is actually working wonders! Celica was more easy since she's more offensive than support (although she can be a great of healer too)
