Theorycrafting with Ryu: Lyn (bump copy)
Much to my pleasure, Lyn is now available in a banner and I Finally pulled one!! So I put the Seliph build on hold (sorry guys) to present all the soon to be owners of Lyn with a build better than whats presented here on this site.
======================================
Lyn, Lady of the Plains
+Spd or Atk/-HP or Res (preferably HP)
Sol Katti
Swap or Reciprocal Aid
Galeforce/Iceberg
Fury 3
Escape Route 3
Threaten Def 3/Threaten Spd 3/Def Ploy 3
Attack +1 or Speed +1 (the opposite of your boon most likely; not calculated below)
======================================
Alright everyone let's break this bad bitch down~
HP: 37 (34 if bane)
Atk: 47 (50 if boon)
Spd: 40 (43 if boon)
Def: 29 (avoid bane as she must bait melee more often)
Res: 32 (29 if bane)
With this, Lyn requires a 64 power physical attack (61 if HP or Defense bane) to be 1 shot, which is fairly difficult. For Magic the threshold is higher at 69 (66 if HP or Res are bane) so it is generally safe to say that Lyn can bait any non brave weapon user that isn't blue without risk of dying because she is fast enough that very few units can hit the 45 to double her unbuffed (assuming you have Neutral speed; if you have a boon, then 48 is needed to double her). This bulk plus Fury is what is meant to guarantee that she gets low enough for Sol Katti to trigger. She needs to have 18 health (17 if HP bane) to be under 50% for her Desperation to be activated.
Now that you have your near dead sword princess, you have a new level of power. She can now strike the majority of would be threats twice safely and thanks to Fury and her legendary weapon, even Lyn reaches a respectable attack (even moreso if Atk boon or getting buffed) and thanks to Escape Route, you have the ability to use a Desperation Sword Lord that can teleport around the map for anything you need from her!
The special can be changed to Iceberg for a 16 (14 if Res bane) damage burst attack on a CD of 3 under normal conditions that will be charged after she baits and double hits a slower unit presumably to destroy her first initiation target next round. Galeforce will be charged after that second fight, assuming she kills her target, she'll have charged Galeforce with her 2 attacks then and can teleport to a new victim as you see fit as well!
The support skill is mostly player preference but if you are lucky enough to have Def Ploy, she will be able to trigger it against most of the melee units that she will have to fight that have enough defense to inhibit her 2 strike kill condition and is a bit easier to setup against ranged enemies than Threaten Def is. She will lose a few more victims to this kill if her Res is bane instead of HP of course.
Reds: She can safely bait any red mage besides a heavily buffed Blade Mage as well as bait any red lord that isn't running Swordbreaker or sitting at the highest speed tier of 45+ to setup her sword passive and she will either strike once, or double strike to kill or nearly kill them, only to strike again next round for the initiation kill.
Green: Hector, the scariest Green who will also be more common thanks to this banner is dangerous, but a safe bait and kill on her turn target for Lyn. If she was given a Hone Attack, then she should be able to one turn bait Hector with Neutral Defense, or a Def boon if using Atk boon herself (her defense reduction skills make this easier buff free). She can also manage to tank Brave Axe+ Cherche and Frederick if either is unbuffed by a Hone Cavalry/Fliers effect should the need arise, but she can kill either by initiating instead.
Blue: She's squishy so unless you are cleaning up blue mages with her double strike, try to avoid those ass holes.
A different take on Lyn from that usual Brash Assault/Defiant Attack build, because Defiant Attack is a buff so she cant get extra from Hone Attack and Fury makes her pre-desperation attacks better while helping her survive baits better to be in that range as well (She can also gain the Dealthea buff when using Fury instead if you have one). This Lyn is far more mobile as well thanks to her B slot and can even run Ploy Skills with her Fury buffed Resistance stat. Her special can go for the extra action Galeforce, or the huge raw attack boost in Iceberg based on your own preference, but I hope you find a new reason to have Lyn on your team with this alternate build!

Speed boon and Fury makes her speed 40 which is great for doubling and avoiding most doubles in the game as well. What's her bane stat?
My personal though would be to use Bonfire and Vantage at first glance but that also works best by keeping Slaying axe since I think the cookie cutter brace weapon builds for everyone is getting old and unless it's cherche, Freddy or Raven I don't plan on using brave axes for anyone else.

Dude why are you bumping your posts after 2hrs and like 5 posts? I'm all for creativity and off-meta builds - more power too you - but how am I supposed to find today's 10,000th post about how OP the CYL units are or whether someone should 5* an obvious choice or one of 5 shitty choices if you keep posting bump copies?
