Deigned to specifically kill your enemy team's red heroes, this Florina build is meant to tank, and return fire to any sword that dares make a move on her and her pegasus. Thanks to Guidance, she can also become your mobility machine for any infantry or armor units (coughHectorcough) to get in where they need to be and start killing anything she shouldn't be messing with, namely greens.

Swords: No sword user without extreme buffs and specials (like moonbow eliwood with full horse buffs) is considered a valid threat to unbuffed Florina. She can also withstand Deathblow Brave Chrom and will then 1 shot him on the first counter attack safely and quad swords are too squishy to land the quad strike without desperation activated already.

Lances: This is where her great counter play gets weaker. Brave lances suffer no power reduction and are fully able to kill her, granted dedicated Brave Lances can usually 1 round any non-effie lance anyways so no biggie here. Cammus is likely the most common lancer and unbuffed, he draws to her in battle if he initiates, dying on her turn. Once Hone Cavalry sets in however, he gets a second attack and it will doom our aerial flower so be careful. Generally faster lances (35 speed and up) should be avoided unless they are already low or they will most likely kill her on the second attack.

Axes: It's her weakness type, so keep her away from these...unless its Hector. Yours that is <.<

Magic: No Red mage is considered a threat, even at a bane for it, Fury keeps her at an impressive 34 resistance and that means red mages are of no relevance. Generally Moonbow is up to initiate on them after the bait so even fury wont stop the 1 attack from killing most of them save maybe fortified Leo. Amazingly, Florina can actually tank buffed Reinhardt on color and survive (when using HP bane or if Atk Ploy triggered) under the one condition that he is not running Quickened Pulse/Moonbow as it will get her killed. If she has any resistance boosts after an atk ploy trigger, she can actually survive the attack. As for green mages, most should be avoided as they will all either double her, or just be the one shot horse nuke Cecilia with buffs and that's no good for her, 34+ resistance or not.

Dragons: With amazing resistance and no dragon fast enough to double her, except speed boosted Corrin/Ninian and they're not offensive enough to be threats, she can duel them all fairly well and will even manage a single round against Fae if she needs to for some odd reason.

This build is made to turn Florina into a more dedicated red counter/bait that can withstand any red attacks send her way and if they are in melee range, she can delete them from the map. Thanks to Guidance, she is also a mobility machine for the rest of your entire team that lets your knights and infantry fighters swoop in to protect her from greens, heal her after a bait, or even just engage an enemy she herself could only get up to 1 space away from. She can also use the skill to get allies to safety, move them across water, lava and mountains even with ease and allow for some very favorable position setups as well.

Will she be the greatest lance in the game with this build? Of course not, but as a focused killer of sword lords (they're common and popular enough that a red killer who's cuter than Reinhardt is nice) She does her job and she does it well with essentially no risk barring far outlier situations.

+Atk Fury Lucina with Moonbow will kill her as well, if Florina is -HP. (Lucina does exactly 42 points damage.) She doesn't need any buffs, and is quite common in Arena.

Reinhardt very often runs Lancebreaker, specifically to deal with high Res pegasi, and that will kill her too.

Camus usually runs Vantage, so he'll get his second attack with Hone Cavalry or without it.

And of course, a killing/slaying edge with Luna, or Wo Dao with Moonbow, will finish her off, so long as the swordsman reaches 38/36 base atk/spd (not so hard with fury/buffs).

Cuteness aside, Reinhardt kills sword lords without taking damage himself. Florina will nearly get herself killed, and cannot survive another attack.

I would argue that Swordbreaker is more useful than QR, because it offers her the defensive boost of denying her opponent the second attack, and lets her initiate as well. Neither one helps her against mages, so there's no difference there, unless she runs DC, and then a Tomebreaker might be better.

QR is good on tanks that can reliably survive two hits, from at least 2 colors, or that are fast enough to usually avoid getting doubled.

Alternatively, ditch Fury in the A slot for DC, and give her a Sapphire Lance to negate red damage. Now she should be able to survive pretty much any red strike (even if they double, though it may be possible for very fast brave swords to quad) and QR will activate against either swords or mages (so long as they're not Lancebreaker Reinhardt), making Iceberg more reliable.

Est is a little better for this build against mages (similar resistance, but better atk/spd), but Florina can use it against swords as well, due to higher HP/def. Her lower speed actually makes it more likely that Iceberg will activate, when coupled with QR.

If you find Rein, Linde, etc. to be a problem, you can always take B. Tomebreaker, and maybe trade +atk for +def, and Iceberg for Glacies. Florina tanks three hits from a Sword Lord (but at -40%) and then gets an almost guaranteed kill. Also useful against Rein, who has high Def for a mage (higher than some melee cavaliers) and won't respond to the Sapphire Lance.
