Theorycrafting Refines for GHB/TT Units, (a lil thing I do in my spare time sorta.)

Joshua (Audhulma):
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown -1). Grants Res +5
(Refine): If unit's Res > foe's Res+5, boost damage dealt by 7 and grant special cooldown charge +1.

Valter (Cursed Lance):
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown -1). Grants Atk/Spd +2
(Refine): After combat, units recovers 7HP and deals 7 damage to target and foes within 2 space of target.

Berkut (Kreimhild):
Grants Res +3. During combat, If unit is adjacent to an ally, and foe uses magic, bow, dagger or staff, reduce damage from foe's first attack by 30%
(Refine): If unit's Res > foe's Res+1 and foe uses magic, bow, dagger or staff, foe cannot make a follow-up attack.

Canas (Gespenst):
During combat, unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res boosted by number of adjacent allies x2
(Refine):If unit's HP> 50%, allies within 2 Spaces can move adjacent to unit.

Lyon (Naglfar):
Grants weapon-triangle advantage against colourless foes.
(Refine):during combat, if foe initiates combat, grants unit Def/Res +4 and is able to counterattack regardless of foes distance.

Robin F/M (Tactician's Guide):
Grants weapon-triangle advantage against colourless foes.
(Refine): TA3 (I could probably see them doing this)

Arvis (Valflame):
Grants Res +3. At start of turn, inflicts Atk/Res -5 on foes in cardinal directions with Res < unit’s Res through their next actions.
(Refine):During combat, boost damage dealt by 50% of foes stat penalties.

That was a lot. tell me what you guys think. too broken? not broken enough? (As you can tell, i have an SS character bias XP)

I like these. Most of em are useful and not too broken
Two small changes I'd make:
Berkut, not give +3 res but instead change the refine effect to needing 5 or more def.
That way it's easier agaist mages, but still useful if you want him to tank physical unit.

Valter:
Keep the recoil. Maybe boost the atk/spd to +3.
Then giving brazen atk/spd as refine
(Basicly giving him Celica's weapon, but trading 2 atk/spd for -1 CD)

I'd still give it +3 res honestly to help him tank mages better, but yah changing it to Def instead would work better since he can reach 35 Def (37 with SS) at +10 where as his res would only reach 31 (33 SS) with the +3 res

I just think that the stat bonus is something refines never do. I like to keep my ideas within what IS would do.

Besides, it's plenty strong already.
The most important thing is that Berkut needs to avoid getting doubled.

A lil while ago we also thought IS would never give DC as a refine but they did with CD reduction and combat buffs but i get what you're saying.

In Arvis's case, honestly it's really just my bias but that's because almost every Crusader Weapon gives a flat stat boost except Valflame. (Gae Bolg doesn't either but that's debatable.) it kinda takes away from the brokeness that were FE4/FE5 weapons.

As for Berkut's refine (and most of these tbh) i kinda built them with a reference to the characters, while working with the kits they have. Berkut's Lance + Water Boost kinda tells me that they were initially going for a mage-tank Cav, (something that's kinda rare) and the refine Bond-esque ability is a reference to how even as an enemy, he still got support buffs from rinea.

Personally since DC refinements are a thing now I'd rather have Joshua's refine be DC just so I could use this build

A Lyon:
Grants weapon-triangle advantage against colourless foes.
(Refine): Triangle Adept 3 (so he have A slot free)

B Lyon:
Grants weapon-triangle advantage against colourless foes.
(Refine): Guard (very good on him)

The reason I kinda refused to give him TA refine is because Sophia probably still does it better than him and i could see IS giving her that treatment. (Like giving Cherche a prf Brv Axe, as it was her best weapon)

Guard is...actually really good.
...
but lets spice it up a lil bit more. How about Guard 4(50%) with special CD charge +1.
