I'll be direct : This build for Hawkeye is unoptimal, Fae will do the same but will also take care of Hector&co (which is part of the meta that you want to kick ass right?).

Hector will also do the same job in better, thanks to his higher attack, he can take care of glass canon (i.e. Nino) before that they throw their second (lethal) hit on him. In fact, my +Atk/-Spd Hector kills Fury Nino (common Nino) in one shot, just as many other threats (like archer and tanky blue mages, like Voldemort).

Of course, Hawkeye can do that too thanks to KillerAxe+ and his quick special trigger, but past this point, he loses in reliability, while Hector doesn't thanks to Vantage, and actually profit his charged Special to hard-counter even more threats.

DISCLAIMER : As Hector, Raven & Hawkeye are my favorite units, I tried many many builds for them, and they all have very good opportunity to be meta-crushing. But you build is just a "specialized counter against blue meta" that isn't really breaking the meta itself, since it lacks reliability (you can only use it as a Bait, on the offensive he will rarely kills anything, plus he can't counter reliably common green units like Hector, Julia, Minerva, Sonya, Nino, Raven and other version of Hawkeye that are more balanced).

In brief, it's a unoptimal build offensively, and barely effective defensively. I recommend you to better testing on Kagero Chart, using filters and overrides on meta units.

Note: Also, for possible next theorycrafts, if you stick to the skill-set/IVs set and purpose, I think you'll get more attention overall.

Oh hey, I actually just scrolled down to read the reply ha. Anyways I don't expect to 'crush' the meta with one unit in trying to create more useful ways to use underused characters in the current meta without just using meta answers. Next up was gonna be a Fae build since t seems more people are starting to notice her but in general I wanted to start with greens and then reds to entice people away from blues with creative and useful builds. The other selling point was that this Hawkeye tanks magic attacks better and twice as good as a -res Hector would, ideally making him safer against many initiations as well as just not actually using Hector himself. Of course using Distant Counter instead of a freebie weapon these days is just subpar as a whole which isnits own issue.

I did use kagerocharts for most of my calculations for mages and this Hawkeye will actually beat unbuffed Hector on defense anyways since only one of them can activate QR but for consistency, yes support or a healer will be needed which is normal when making builds out of non-too tier heroes but we'll need more diversity for upcoming modes like more squad assaults and arena assault too

I support your initiative =) I'm fed up of using always the same top tier units. Having other people sharing their build on less common units expands my knowledge on theory crafting and make the game more interesting.
Don't hesitate to post more build I'll definitely read them.

Yea I also wanted to start giving people ways to use their favorite units in ways effective against how people are running their teams in the arena atm as well and I know a larger number of players here started with blazing sword so I started there. Fae should be next up for the same reasons that she was being called better than Hawkeye at this job and cuz she's fluffy and cute. I'm also open to requests since I have lots of free time to number crunchers after work

Just like Apo, I support your initiative, I like theorycrafts and such, and for now I focused most of mine on Anti-reinhart, anti-olwen bladehorse, so of course green units !

Yet I focused on Hector, Raven and Hawkeye since they are my favorite units from FE7 (with Lyn and Matthew that are kinda bad in FEH). I started craft a lot of theorical builds to crush the meta, and they actually can do it ! All of them 3 are kinda the best axe users imo (with Minerva).

In other words, the underrated E-tier Hawkeye is in all point superior to the overrated A-tier Fae (plus I don't like her poor versatility of builds, due to the poor inherance possibilities for dragons).
