Tharja matchups on green mages

Green mages like Julio and nino have been a pain for me to deal with, now diedre is gonna release and add to that. I normally used Sonya with green tome breaker to fight them, but now more and more units like Julia are actually running green tome breaker too, so the match up has been a major pain to deal with. I have TA Henry who can tank them but he has trouble killing them with his low attack. I just made my tharja into 5 Star (I think she’s -red, either +atk or +spd) with these IVS will Tharja live against someone like nino or Julia in enemy phase?

She could definitely take a hit from both of them, but if nino makes a follow up attack then she looses, and tharja will more likely than not double julia on countering.

what about black knight? especially with fury and maybe DD seal and color advantage he should survive green mage hits and kill them on his counter attack.

A +spd tharja with fury (or she probably gets doubled and dies to nino) should survive all green mages. She'll handle the slower ones easily enough, its the faster green mages with enough hp+res to survive one hit from her that will give you trouble.

+spd Tharja only gets doubled by +spd L&D3 with a spd seal Nino iirc. She reaches 40 spd unmerged, which is pretty substantial in avoiding doubles and breaking slower walls. I've also ditched the l&d bandwagon and jumped aboard Fury 3 on Nino & +spd/-hp Tharja, it just synergizes so well with Desperation, so that you often don't have to waste a turn on ardent sacrifice or risk losing a bait unit in order to set up. It'll help OP survive high atk green mages as a nice little side effect.

What set are you running on Sonya, and which ivs? Her struggling with Julia seems a bit odd to me, tbh, considering gtbreaker cancels out and Sonya can usually double Julias.

My Sonya is +spd -def and +1 merged. I kept all of her regular skills off her base set since the only fury fodder I have requires to be a 5star to give fury 3 (my red summons have given no hinatas, I have a +7 laslow to show for that. I have her attack ploy scarred seal on top of res ploy and green tome breaker 3. Despite all this, I’ve had her get stopped completely in her tracks by Julia and nino before, I think mostly happens when Julia is merged but still it has happened a few times. I wind up on autopilot in the arena a lot and I’ll just sit Sonya in front of green mages, she either gets the 1 round kill or she dies while doing almost nothing
