Terrible summons?

I’ve wasted 160 orbs that I’ve saved for a while as a f2p and used them on the legendary banner and only got one 5 Star spring Xander (terrible Ivs). Did anyone else feel like this banner was a rip off and % was a bluff to have players spend more $?

It feels like RNG is the only excuse protecting IS from getting any mail about banners being a fraud.

I'm sure most of everyone had like surprisingly bad luck on this banner despite it being an 8% summoning chance of a 5* like, heck even I had a better luck summoning from a banner that had 3%

I'm starting to not believe in this so called "RNG" or just "luck" in this system of summoning. As a F2P, I've startet to get some data about my summoning with my brother. I play the game every day, have some good number of 5 stars (55 of wich most of them I promoted with feathers) and in the last banners haven't got a single 5 star in the free summons or in the 200 orbs used in the Halloween banner and 100 in th Fjorm banner. Again, orbs as a F2P. My brother, F2P just as me with about 20 5 star heroes, enters the game only to do the free summons rounds on saturdays. He gets a 5 star on half of his free summons. I'm starting to believe that IS has a way of preventing F2P users to get the units. And with all of this, with so many unplayable heroes and this pit summon rate, i really don't think there's any difference with what EA is having problems about the loot boxes.

Sorry to hear but it's all just bad luck. Some peeps didn't get that many either while others got a lot or about 8-9% drop rate like I did. I basically did a 460 orbs pull and got 12 5 stars and some people said they got 5 5 stars in 100 orbs pull so go figure.

What we aren't sure is if the heroes are even % chance to drop or not. For example, 8% for each color, but who knows if every hero in that color is even chance or some programmed lower.

ehh.. Spring Xander, Hector, and Bride Cordelia. Two I want, one I loath.

If you think about it logically 8% start means that your chances of getting a 5-star is about the same as a 4% focus 4% non-focus 5-star. So your chance of getting a 5 star is not dramatically increased. It just that some random 5 star like Hawkeye doesn't show up and ruin your pity rate.

The 8% rate was certainly mentally misleading, though I'm not sure if I'd say it was as much a bait as some are suggesting. It simply brings to the forefront all of the existing issues with the summoning system, i.e. IV roulette, bad units (Genny, Spring Xander) put into summoning pools with much more desirable units, etc.

And I say this as someone who is possibly quitting the game after this banner because of how bad I got burned on it and how much it's kind of made me realize the game isn't as fun for me any more. 300+ orbs for 4 Gennys, a -Atk/+Def Ayra, a -Atk/+HP Bridalia, an extra Fjorm, and one good Deirdre (though I already had her), so I'd classify myself as one of the unluckier ones (and before you point out the total 5 stars is higher than some, Genny is trash outside inheritance and I have no 5 star healers to give WS to, and -Atk Bridalia is essentially inferior Setsuna). As neat as the Weapon Refinery system is, IS still hasn't addressed bad IVs. They still haven't addressed how cluttered the 5 star pool is at this point. They've been really behind on releasing new content (reusing too many old GHBs and that last Squad Assault felt like a half-finished joke).

Luck is luck.. i got a genny and sxander in 160 orbs.. my girlfriend use 20 and got an hector, sxander and blyn...
And lastly i use my remaining 5 orb and got an ike, so im pretty happy in the end but i learned a lesson if after 40 orbs you get nothing stop summoning and let someone else luck do the job and yours will come back

I was lucky, I spent around 160 orbs and got 2x Ike, Hector, BLyn, Celica, Genny and Ayra

Understand it's just luck. I used 195 orbs and got 5 units, Fjorm, S!Camilla, Deirdre, Genny, and Ike. I had a friend who used about half that and got 8 5 stars.

What people don't seem to appreciate is that even a 100+ orb summoning session constitutes a very small sample size.

IS got a little cash out of me on this banner; and I at one point went multiple rounds without any successful pulls. My summoning rate hit like 11%.eventually, it finally did pop. And then today, in less than 40 orbs, I pulled a pair of Hectors.

I ultimately pulled about 8 5* units on roughly 300 orbs, which actually works out to better than 8%. Actually got some decent IVs to boot.

Legendary Banners or Hero Fest banners are both banners I avoid for specifically this reason. With the idea of a 5% or 8% base chance of getting a unit, it seems to be a ploy just to get people to buy some orbs for such a "good" chance to get a unit. I spent around 200+ orbs for a -atk +res Bridal Cordelia and +atk -res Fjorm. I like the Fjorm, I merged the Bridal Cordelia into my +4 neutral one. I just chalk it up to my bad luck, I hardly get good pulls anyway.

Also no offense but if you are purely f2p, then there's nothing to rip off. Pure f2p folks need to understand you do not have much orbs to pull so your sample size is very low. Some f2p folks get super good pulls, but that doesn't mean it would be the norm or vice versa.

People need to realize the game is not made for everyone to get a ton of good heroes with little or no spending. With the ivs situation, yes it can be frustrating, but very few bad ivs will doom you. Usually there are a few very workable variants. If you are expecting every top hero you get with very good ivs, then that is unrealistic even if you spend alot.

I mean heck it took a lot for me to get b.Lyn with all the dang healers I got and also p.aura took a lot when I kept getting inigo.

At the same time, IS has made an absolute mess of the summon pools by not demoting any existing units to 3 stars while adding so many units This 8% banner was the first in a long time that could have helped to rectify the issue, and instead most found it to be underwhelming and deceptive. There's something to that, even if anyone personally didn't run into it.

That's not even counting the continuing IV issue. I'd say for the average user, about 20% of their 5 star units are rendered useless to pretty easy to replace with a 4 star unit because of bad IVs. Considering how much effort it takes a F2P player to get a 5 star unit, that's pretty indefensible this late into the game they're still not fixing this system. I'll defend their right to make money, and I'm not willing to classify this system as "gambling" even as governments start to crack down on these types of games, but the double RNG system FE:H uses has always been dirty at best.

240+ FTP orbs on this "8%" banner and ended up with only one 5* hero (Deirdre +Atk-Def)...
And yes I have spent in the past but cannot and will not unless I start getting 5* with FTP orbs. I feel like the only 5* I have gained were from payed orbs and long awaited pity breakers...(I have about 45 5* and have been playing since 2nd week half of which are free ghb/tempest and promoted heroes) these numbers are a scam and the whole system is ilegitimate.
Sincerely,
Pissed

I know all of my friends who saved their orbs for this event have only gotten at most one five star, yet everyone who only managed to just scrape up 20 orbs (myself included) have had amazing luck. My free summon was a Deirdre (can't remember her IV's but I know I was happy with them) and a +attack/-speed spring camilla. Every time in the past where I've spent a ton of orbs on a banner; nothing. Whenever I do a singular free summon when I have no orbs, I get something. Not sure if it's just me here, but if it isn't then maybe they're trying to get people who pay for orbs to buy even more, but at the same time throwing in random spouts of luck so people won't get too discouraged and quit.
