Tanky units for merge projects?

So I started a second account on Feh to see if my summoning luck has come back, and I’d really like to start thinking of merge projects. There’s soo many to choose from as I’d really like something that can hit really hard when specials are triggered.

I have builds for the units that I currently have with Good Ivs, but not built how they are in the images provided. Also I’m limited to very little fodder. Completely stuck by picking a tanky unit as my arena core will consist of 2 offensive units and 1 defensive unit.
Could anyone recommend any other units who are very tanky or could be tanky? I may change my mind.

Side note: If anyone wants to add my second account, then that’s absolutely fine. My lead unit is a cancerous Veronica, I may put my Witchy Wand Elise on lead (if I ever do invest into her).

Build of Sheena I’m currently thinking of.

Then Berkut's lance on Gwendolyn can definitely be considered

I have that on my first account, I really don’t like to have the same thing as i like to try new things out.

I have pretty much the same build just +Res -Spd with Ploy Atk and CD seal and Aether instead

Lukas, Silas if you don't mind that he's pretty good fodder, same for Hinata and Ares

Subaki can be surprisingly tough; F.Corrin has a similar statline and hits res
A.Tiki focused on def
Soleil might actually do it if you invest mostly in her def and do something like wo dao ignis (or even aether) because she just hits so hard to begin with

The unit I don't recommend is Nowi, because I'm increasingly convinced that L.Tiki just powercreeped her completely

Ares is a great thought of a tanky unit that can abuse Vantage. Lucas and Silas are another thought. I’ll look in my barracks to see if I have those units.

That’s a pretty standard mage counter build for him. Personally I run dragon counter but if it’s what you need it’s what you need

Yeah that’s pretty standard Ignis cheese. If you have the fodder you can even take a shot at mixed defenses!

Lukas seems like a lot of fun, I might try that out. It’s now either him or Sheena.

The new version of this is harmonic + steady breath + special spiral. That way you don't even get doubled, which does matter if some bold fighter is trying to ignis you first.
