Takumi for Leo fodder?

I have a fully built +Att/-Res Takumi and an unbuilt Level 40 +HP/-Spd Takumi
Should I merge the two or feed the latter's close counter to my Rauorblade +Spd/-Res Leo for Horse Emblem?

Leo is better off running Life and Death to get a higher kill count. Close Counter is an Enemy Phase skill for Enemy Phase builds, while Leo is better as a Player Phase unit.

Not sure how well LnD would work, Leo's speed is too low for the bonus to matter and the defense drops hurt him more because of it. Close counter has greater synergy with quick riposte and Leo's stats make him something of mixed tank after horse buffs.
If looking for strictly more damage, try death blow instead.
