Is TA any good on Xander ?

TA is very good depending on your team needs and that way you play.

First, You don't want to run him into blues anyways
Second, TA is a preference if your team could potentially have some green units that would do a fair amount of even defeat several units on your team and you want xander to "better" cover greens and to take much less damage fighting them opposed to fury.
2.5 On a team you're fighting with 3-4 reds you wouldn't want xander to handle "all" of them himself regardless.

TA works better on horse teams than outside of it. because he is getting much more all around & while fury is nice and doesn't hurt xander having qr it's for a different set up.
TL;DR TA opposed to fury provide alternate pluses & you shouldn't choose TA because it seems like a good skill, you should choose it if you need to better handle green units and/or if you're needing to preserve HP.
(In TT I sometimes use fury on everyone and it does work but for this game mode if you're using fury I suggest only 2 units have it and for this game mode generally TA on Xander is better than fury from my experience.

I would say TA, Def +3, Distant or Close Def are your best A skills in a QR Xander. I recently put Def+3 on mine since I don't have any distant or close def fodder and have been very happy with the result.

TA should be fine too as you will presumably have Cecilia or Frederick there to answer blues and cavalry mobility combined with reposition skills should let you play around them. The best thing about running TA would be improved survivability versus green mages.
