Surtr's weakness versus Hector (LA & Legendary)

We all know by know how insane Surtr is.
But I want to make a case that he's not clear cut above the Hector axe alts.

What is it that makes the Hector alts good?
Armads.
Sure their stats are nice, but it's not what makes them stand out.

LA!Hector can shoot off glimmers and other specials with wrath boost. Combining it with wary fighter for survival after the first fight, vantage for one shot lockdown fun, bold fighter if you really wanna go to town ect.

L!Hector meanwhile has one of the easest ways of getting a wary fighter effect while being able to combo it with VF. Allowing Hector to survive a lot easier in enemy phase, unlike most other armors not running wary.
The C skill is also one of the best support skills.

Surtr does have something special though. Three things aside from his insane stats:
Sinmara, Steady stance 4 and his C skill.
With wary fighter he won't kill that much when baiting, but everyone is crippled to near death the turn after. Making them prey for Surtr and his team.

But. If you take wary fighter away from him and try to use vengeful or bold..
His weapon and C skill become almost useless. The few that do survive won't be needing the extra blast. And in return Surtr is more open for death.
He just doesn't have the in combat destruction the Hectors have. Surtr doesn't have the special tricks. Just amazing stats and nothing else.

Of course I say it like it's horrible, it's not. Surtr is a force of destruction with any sensable build. But I think the Hectors aren't dethroned by him.

Hey, I think you are conveying that surtr is inferior than hector in a sense. The problem I got with ALL the Hectors is their RES. Literally, I tried, if i remember correctly, nearly all of them do not survive reinhardt onslaught (from my experience, thats why I don't use him nowadays). BUT, with Surtr with his RES, at least he can survive AND the next turn his weapon and C skill procs. Idk its a lot to talk about.
But imo, Surtr is better. Just better all round ( maybe except L!Hector in some case). But talking about dethroning one another, I'd say different units got different purposes so u can't contrast them in that term.

I'm putting an emphasis in the ways the Hectors surpass him.
But my main point is that neither defeats the other in their best role.

Rein is not the only measuring stick around.
Take a unit like Micaiah. She will kill a DC VF Surtr, but not a DC VF L!Hector.
Same goes for Lilina or Celica.
