Surtr Counter

I've been seeing people mention units like Hoshidan Summer Micaiah, Sanaki, and other red mages as counters for Surtr, but would Celica also work? I have every Celica (only mage and Brave fully built so far), and I don't have Sanaki built or even a single Micaiah (completely whiffed on the Hoshidan Summer banner besides Elincia), so would Celica work as another good counter? I do have some other units that have some decent skill fodder if I need to do so.

Armorsmasher and Axebreaker are your friends. Let the unit's speed work for you.

yes, you need to dance her though (the mage one).
melee wont work against surtr, unsless you built both melee celica with armorsmasher.

Oh, I gave Brave Celica Armorsmasher already, so she's all set on that. I would just need to give her Axebreaker if she needs it. Mage Celica I have fully built. Again, if I need Axebreaker, I can just inherit them. As for Fallen Celica, I still haven't worked on her yet, so idk what I would do for her, if I even need her.

Mage celica, probably. Definitely once he's no longer a bonus unit (assuming you're talking about AR). She might run into issues if he's running distant counter.

Someone in another thread mentioned black knight w/ brave sword, maybe with axebreaker to null weary fighter (not sure if he'd have enough speed to quad though). BK will ripp surtr to shreads once black luna goes off. Sort of a hyper-specialist (with his crappy res + loss of his DC weapon you'd have to be careful), seems super effective tho.

Honestly ANY special that cuts his defenses down on a unit that has advantage over him. Moonbow, Luna, hell aether would absolutely destroy him if you can get it charged
