Surprise Cavalry

I decided to spend some orbs to get Minerva, but instead I got Eldigan. XD Down to eight orbs now hoping for the Red Dragoon, but I'm happy getting this guy at 3%.

He's a Def+/Spd-, but I think I can build something around him. Any suggestions to what I can use on this guy?

If you really wanna throw some power around, refine his weapon for the Fury effect, and give him Death Blow and the Heavy Blade seal. Make him part of a Cavalry team, and Kaboom.

With that Defense boon, I think Bonfire/Ignis can really make him hit hard right?

I'd actually go with Quick Riposte, Steady Stance/Breath.

With Steady Breath, QR, and his weapon, he counterattacks with Bonfire EVERY time he's attacked. OW.

We need better Steady Breath fodder, I have yet to draw a Brave Ike. As for Steady Stance, never drew any Shiro during his banner since I quit after getting my Spd+/HP- Soleil.
