Support heroes

So, it's not bug suprise that not every hero in this game is an offensive powerhouse... or is supposed to be, we have our dancers, we have our buff bots and other variants of what I think everyone would agree that would be considered support heroes. I'm just curious about who you guys use most. Whether it's that PA azura you pulled last summer, or if it's the eirika you got slightly after release or Flying Olivia, i'm curious who you guys are using and what sort of builds. Ive been doing a lot of experimenting with builds on units with bad IVs, or whose weapon buffs or an offensive powerhouse that I didnt need on a team. For me the one i'm using the most is either Camilla or Marth, because one has access to goad for 2 different movement types and the other has spectrum drive, healing support and can either run dual drive, drive spd 4, drive atk6 or tactics depending on the team. I'm going to try and compile a team building guide to submit to gamepress, that actually reflects the changes in meta, as well as how to do that on a budget of either feathers or premium fodder. Tldr, expect more random ass posts, as well as a semi finished product posted here eventually

My top support units right now:
Marth: Falchion+eff, reciprocal aid, HP+4 (only because I grabbed it while grabbing reciprocal aid from a Donnel and because my only Marth at the time had an HP bane), renewal, spur spd to be replaced by drive spd someday, drive atk

B.Lucina: base kit with drive atk seal when Marth isn't using it, drive def when he is. Maybe I'll give her chill spd someday

YT Olivia: base kit, maybe some seal like hone atk

Camilla when I give her the effect refine on her axe

Felicia I guess? I'm using atk smoke and spd ploy seal at the moment; might switch to spd ploy + flashing blade. She does debuff extremely well at the moment whenever she attacks.

Sothe: mainly in

Veronica when I get her. Close guard, windfire balm when she's not attacking, and of course, ****ing dazzling Peshkatz.

Looking forward to seeing your work on team-building!

I used PA!Azura and Lancina(I use her as a support but She for some reason carries the team with kills before) for the longest time as support units cause PA!Azura with her Uror and Lancina with her Geirskogul gives buffs to their allies and it made things so easier, My build them are'nt weird I just gave them Hones for Azura(cause she can't dance everyone so It's for anyone near her that can't get danced) and Drives for Lancina(to make physical dmg units stronger).

Right now I'm using the new Olivia(same reason as PA!azura and since I maxed out PA!azura's HM) ,Marth, Veronica, And I am planning to build M!Corrin to be paired to Anna for Arena and Eirika.

Also I'm also planning to build Hinoka if I get her, with her new PRF weapon she's a good support unit(a mobility support to be precise she can have her other allies cover more ground and she can save them from danger by using reposition as such)

Lancina was my main support for about half of the games lifespan. She caused my Ike to go from 31 speed to 43 with double drive speed and spur in the S slot (the other 2 points are from support). I also used Inigo as my main dancer and Genny as my main healer. Now, I'm experimenting with Veronica and Flying Oliva.

My top two support units have to be P! Azura and Marth. The great thing about Marth, is that you don’t necessarily need merges or optimal IV’s to get the most out of him. Mine is neutral IV with a budget set, and gets tons of use in Arena Assault (I use him or my optimal IV Karla or Ayra so that says something) P! Azura has been beyond useful since day one. When I’m leveling new units, she’s there to make the task quicker and much more efficient. I use her in Arena quite often, and pretty much every game mode.

Support units are my favorite units. No matter what, they are all unique in their own way.

Arvis is the one of the two I use the most. Quad Ploy, Healing, AND an AoE Special? Yes, please!

I also use Brave Lucina a lot. She raises allies' speed more than anything else. When Drive Spd becomes a Seal, definitely giving it to her.

I also have a few dancers, but I use Performing Azura and Lene the most.

I also love using Jaffar, his chip damage abilites are insane.

And New Year's Corrin is a great support unit as well. Being able to raise an ally's Defense AND Resistance by 8 each is flat out amazing. It'd be better if he had either Distant or Close Guard in his C, and the other as a Seal, then it'd be 9 each instead of 8 (Small difference, I know)

I also have a Saias, another Quad Ployer, but slightly better Res. (1 point, but still better.) Fury also works beautifully with Escape Route, which then work with his Ploying abilities.

I love using Brave Veronica, too. Dazzling Peshkats, Close Guard, Windfire Balm, what more could you ask for? Right now, I just need SP on her to learn Restore+.

And Fallen Takumi can be considered an offensive support unit, he comes with Spd Smoke Naturally, so I gave him the Atk Smoke Seal. He also has the effect of Skadi, cutting foes' health down and Panicking them, granted it only works on one specific turn, but It's still great.

I think that's all I can list, right now. I'm gonna build Anna to be a support unit, but one skill I can't get because it's seasonal exclusive, and the other doesn't even exist yet.

His natural weapon already has Drive Def/Res 1. He also naturally has Rally Def/Res and Spur Def/Res 2. He doesn't even need a seal, or Skill Inheritance even, to do this, but with dual drives, it's more convienient.

Earth Boost is there bc I hate Boey and wanted a reason to murder him and also because I didn't have anything better to put there. Not until I get Distant Counter at least.

Everytime I pull for green he shows up. I used to think people who always got Wrys exaggerated, but I've gotten up to 5 Boeys in one day. Would even prefer Bartre over him.

My OG Lucina is a pretty good Falchion medic. After the release of Breath of Fog, OG YTiki got the same treatment.

As for staves, Bride Lyn does a stellar job at shutting down counterattacks for her allies with her trusty candlelight staff. Meanwhile, I really love Veronica's staff. A staff with Peshkatz's effect and without risk of enemy counterattacks? Sign me up! As for normal staves, my favorites are Panic and Gravity. Pain's good, too, but sometimes you need to tone down your opponent a little... For healing, it's a tossup between Recover and Physic (I'd say Restore, but since Nanna never came home...)

Dancer-wise, it's a mixed bag of the four I have. If I'm running a dragon team, Ninian fits right in with her specialized Fortify. The other three are PA seasonals. Azura for general purpose, Inigo if I'm concerned about my unit's speed, and Shigure if I'm concerned about defenses.

My main 2-man combo that I use for everything is Olivia (original) and Genny. Olivia acts as my main support unit with Kadomatsu+, Dance, Aether, Distant Counter, Chill Speed, Attack Tactic and either Drive Attack or Hone Speed, depending on the team. Genny acts as healing and my main DPS hero, and has Attack Ploy for more support. As a team it means that I can run any other two units without worrying about keeping up QR3, or any Fury damage, etc. Also, with the Gravity+ and Dance, it allows me to position my units more easily. The Tactic and the Chill mean my units have a +7/6 offensive advantage and the Kadomatsu and Ploy give me an extra +7/7 to defenses.

I usually run them with both Grimas, which means I have a full tactics buffs on Genny and +3 speed and HP to all members. Altogether they are very cohesive, each taking a role. Olivia for pure support, Genny for offense and Res tanking (50 res in total, with all buffs), M!Grima for Def tanking, and F!Grima for reposition, support (Def and Res Tactics) and the occasional offense.

A good support unit will always be Titania, sure her atk is crap but being able to run a Triple Tactics on a single unit is great. I recently pulled a 4* Legault and passed his Atk.Tactics to Titania really wanted Spd on her but gotta make do with what you have and hey my 5* +10 +Atk quadsuna always loves the extra atk
