Summon or not?

I started playing the game, (again), in February, because that was the time I became interested in fire emblem. So I missed out on the first Halloween banner. I really want Halloween Jakob for my armor emblem team, and I'm at 91 orbs right now. It's a long way till October and there might be a lot of great banner. My question is should I summon if it's worth it, or should I save up and have a better chance at getting Jakob?

If you really want to summon, go ahead, but try to save orbs (at least 50 or something) for H!Jakob if you really want him. The more orbs you have, the better your chances of getting him

My advice is to summon for what you need or want the most. Given the unpredictability of summoning, IMO you should have atleast 100 or so orbs in case something goes wrong.

Honestly, 100 or so orbs is what you should expect to use.

That's the point.

If you just want him for an emblem team then it's not that important. It would be easier and better to just merge up the f2p armors. I would just save orbs for the Legendary 8% scam banners.

If you can have something like 250 orbs for Halloween banner I'd say you have a very good chance of getting him. If you want exact numbers I can pull out my spreadsheet.

We get around 300 orbs a month and seasonal banners are usually around for close to a month so I think you can summon in the meantime. Do be judicious with your summoning decisions, though, because orbs are limited.

EDIT: wow people are posting all kinds of crazy numbers. Some grounding is in order here. 100 orbs has about a 41% chance to find H.Jakob (and not counting pity rate, but the difference it makes is quite small. I do count summoning circles with no colourless orbs though). So more than 50% chance that you would miss. 227 orbs gives you a 70% chance.
