Suggestions for FEHeroes?

I was just wondering what ideas other players had for ways to improve the game. It doesn't matter how big or small. From minor arena balancing tweaks to major features, what ideas do you guys have? The big ones I have are:

1.) Einherjar - Essentially, merge material units. Appearance-wise, give them the generic AI model while maybe doing something to differentiate. Maybe give them a ghostly appearance like the Vallites in Fates? Regardless, these units would come from 3* to 5* with every weapon variant, but can only be created by sacrificing 5 units of the same rarity, movement, and weapon to create an Einherjar of that rarity, move type, and weapon. For example: sacrifice 5 3* Nino to create one 3* Green Tome Infantry Einherjar that you can then promote like any units and use as a merge material for any unit of that weapon type. So that 3* Green Mage Einherjar could be promoted to 5* and used as merge fodder for Sonya. This way, we can still add merge levels to our limited or exclusive units. Units like Sharena (Blue Lance Infantry) and Xander (Red Sword Cavalry) can be merged up to +10 despite their only being a limited number of them obtainable, though you would have to sacrifice several other units to attain this.

2.) Voting Gauntlet Scoring - essentially, a countermeasure against the many teams that rely on "slingshot multipliers" to win in the last hour. Basically, instead of starting with a low modifier and raising it every hour, start with a high modifier and shrink it as the match goes on, ultimately eliminating it with...perhaps 6 hours left? That way, in the final stretch, the voting gauntlet is still a popularity contest that was closer during its early stages, but remains a true popularity contest in the end, reducing the odds of the losing team winning because they were losing.

3.) Summons orbs - Set the orbs to be used as we draw instead of in order to. Let us back out of a summon before drawing in case we get a crappy orb lineup or accidentally tap "continue" when we wanted to back out.

Joke answer? Reroll IVs.
Real answer? Maybe have more control in which games we pull from. Some sort of voting system on which game we want included in the next banner would be nice.
Another thing that seems cool wouls be the ability to change all the music to tunes from different games. Just have a list of different phase songs we can pick from. For example, you'd be able to pick the Binding Blade's player phase music, Path of Radiance's battle music, and Genealogy's enemy phase music. Something like that.

I want to vote for what game will receive more characters. Such GREAT idea! =D
(I only fear that the community would like too much a game that i don't care much and this enter in a loop of the same game everytime, except if this game is MotE xD XD )

Report

One way to resolve that would be a cooldown for winning games. Probably the length will depend on the total roster for each game compared to how many are in FEH.

Report

Maybe not a cooldown, but we could only choose between 3(choosed by the developers).
OR...
We can choose any game, but after a game being choosed he will not be available until ALL the others games being choosed later, this means that we will receive a banner of each game, then they reset(this is a cooldown, but it's the most fair way that i can think, everyone will see your favorite game in focus from time-on-time and you know that your game will have a bigger chance to appear, cause you will have less options each time that another game is choosed).

Obviously could be exceptions, but this would be very good.

I can understand where you're coming from with the voting system. I imagine that veteran players are frustrated with what seems like preferential treatment of the newer games (which I believe is more of an appeal to the newer players), but I can also see that backfiring as well. I'm not sure about the demographics of this game and how they relate to the number of veteran players, but it could also end up resulting in significantly more frequent appearance of Awakening and later, which seems to be a common complaint. Still, it's a good idea, if it can be refined. Maybe exclude a saga for a few voting cycles after its selection, the way the first-gen Brave units were barred from second-round voting?

Edit: turns out, Sapphire Sea proposed the same resolution that I did. Maybe I should read entire response chains before responding. XD

2) A good idea, but the bonus should start after 2-3 hours(you can't activate the bonus in the first round and you need to do quests to get flags) and continue until the last hour(is good to give people last-hour-hope).
But at the same time after spend all the flags with the bonus people may lose the will to keep playing, you can do all the fights to get more points, but this will not give you much feathers.

Two changes that i want in the game are: VG lasting 4 days(2 rounds, 4 heroes) and GC lasting 4 days(people that care about this mode may not be able to play cause of the work/school).
6 days is too much time to a event that you ""need"" to play constantly, i like GC, but 6 days is much tiring...

1) very minor feature : I'd like to be able to scroll through my entire team instead of having to click on each character's portraits and then exit before entering a map when I want to check their skills/seals ( I'm lazy :p )

2) I wish they would be a way to obtain more copies of GHB Heroes for higher merges, sigh ...

3) I don't know if it seems realistic, but perhaps a kind of "banner" but for skills to give to our units, in which each pull would cost less orbs than summoning a real character.

4) an IVs neutralizing item, a man can dream ...

Edit : your Einherjar is such a good idea ! want this feature in the game too

Glad you like the Einherjar idea. It actually only crossed my mind yesterday.

I'd like to be able to reroll my IVs as well. I've been busting my ass for a +DEF/-RES Ishtar, but the best I got is +DEF/-ATK, and that's keepable only because I'm planning for her inevitable weapon refinement. The other two I got were -DEF, useless to me. If I could reroll her, you bet I would. We'd have to pay orbs to do it, though. That way, IS still gets the opportunity for profits that constantly rolling would get, and we have better chances at IVs instead of chances at units we don't want, like the F!Morgan I pulled who I fed to Robin.

Report

1) Better prioritization of weapon refinements. I truly don't understand why some units that could be considered extremely "good" have refine-able weapons before other units *Cough Odin Cough*.

2) SHOW IVs IN GAME!! This is more of me not wanting to look on the internet to see if my unit has good IVs or crappy IVs. They already have a glitch where certain units has their boon showing up as green, so I don't see why not.

3) Change a unit's skills/seals during a Chain Challenge/Squad Assault/Arena Assault run. God, this would be wonderful. x_X'

Report

1) Yeah, a lot of units are much worse than Soren/Camilla/Sanaki/Raven, and with only 3~4 units receiving refinement for month, i don't see a reason to use a lot of those bad units for a looong time.

Report

The only weapon upgrade I can see Odin getting is Odin's Grimoire, which I suppose would make a lot of sense on him. It's a crit item, so maybe give it an innate Death Blow?

I'd be down with that IV display. It would certainly save a lot of trouble in the long run, knowing who I want to keep/feed.

Report

Don't pull disgusting shit like Bridal Sanaki.

Oh, gameplay, right. IV rerolling is one feature I'd really like, it could be done for orbs, which I wouldn't really mind. It'd also help circumvent the RNG somewhat and make things a bit easier. Granted, this is a tough one since it might mess with profits.

I'd love a form of material for merge potential too like you suggested, as going beyond a +1 merge for any TT unit I like would be much appreciated. Another change I'd like is to enemy phase music, as though its gone the battle music still interrupts it. Kind of ruins the point.

Voting Gauntlet could use another option in relation to obtaining score, and I have one idea in particular for that. Essentially, you can choose a difficulty of Hard up to Infernal, and the choice of how many floors to play through. As is obvious, the more floors and higher difficulty you go, the more score you get. This would give incentive to put more effort into strategy, though ideally you'd have to be able to pick the random non-friend unit from a given batch at random to really get a synergistic team and not get screwed over by RNG.

I feel the same way about IV rerolls. I'd happily pay orbs for a chance to reroll my epic units with crap IVs. My -ATK Ishtar, for example. The way I see it, an IV reroll should cost no less than the price of a new summon. I'd actually be okay with perhaps charging 10 orbs/reroll, since we get the guarantee or the unit already which dips into the uncertainty of a summon. I'd be okay with that kind of markup.

I know the feeling. Back during the Grima event, it always annoyed me how ID( (Purpose) would be interrupted by the less epic generic battle music. Really killed the mood for me, since I love that piece.

I think a dungeon-like system like that would be too complex for the popularity contest that is the Voting Gauntlet, honestly. But I do think that it could be spiced up, maybe with something more like an Arena-style ranking system, where higher difficulty teams earn more points.

To be fair, it was common for ~12-year old girls to get married in medieval times.

I want more missions where you have to beat things under certain conditions. The infernal GHBs where you have to use all of a certain type of unit were the best missions. I want more missions like that.
