Subaki is weird

He's virtually flying Selena, without either access to Breath skills, Wrath, Special Spiral or even Flashing Blade (which would do him wonders if he could, at least). And this sucks, because it's the only real way he'll get kills off of specials. Even Henry who's in a similiar situation, at least has access to things like Owl, Blade Tomes and even Special Spiral to aid him in that category.

What does Subaki have? He's basically just fast and he's tanky. He lives...and that's about it? You can probably make a case for Slaying + Bonfire and take an Atk (super)boon, but I don't feel it makes it that much better. I'd even argue I'd rather empaphise on making his strengths stronger through extra Def and/or Spd.

So, what's your take on Subaki? He honestly might be around as bad as Henry, when you think about it...

It's a fairly standard DC build, no offense. Something curious, though, his Res is not as bad as you'd think it would be. I used to dump it, but he manages fairly decent (or at least, passable) at 4*+10, Close Def and a +6 from Fortify/Tactics/stuff.

Well, he's high speed and def, passable res. So he can be build to be hard to kill.
His atk is low, but it's also a superboon, so if you want that higher, you can do it.

All in all, I think he's accually got some potential,
Mostly, because he doesn't have to fear mages as much as Beruka and he can make use out of flashing blade.
If you happen to have it, I think fort def/res could work great

Something like this. I really think he's better off using his A slot for stats.
Of course, 'why not use sumia then', my answer? Merges.
This is costly has heck though

uhh he can't make use of Flashing Blade, which is literally what I said. Had he access to it at least, it would allow stuff like oneround Ignis which would really get his offense going.

Oh yeah, forgot about that little issue.
Makes both Caeda and Clair more unique.

Anyway, I think that Shigure is probably even better as a flying mixed tank sadly.
And even an unmerged Tana is amazing for the role
