I'm assuming you've used it before then... right? Giving someone confident advice on something ya know nothing about is definitely being a prick.

I cant use it but I know how it works. I use switch control as I have an iphone. You wont get banned and the program is pretty straightforward

I use frep to farm merit because its a generic auto tapper, trusting something specifically designed for feh is a perfect way to lose your account to sly coding. Just imagine you're using that tool, then an update comes along, you install the update, then suddenly in the middle of farming the programs decides to just start sending home units, unfavoriting them and everything, then you come back to the game and see barren barracks, and you can't file a complain with nintendo because you were using third party software, so you lose all of your units and have no method of getting them back.

Fair enough. I'll stick to my scripts then. I do think that's an extreme scenario, but I can see someone being that big of an ass hat. Reddit or not.

I'd do it if I cared enough to work at it, nothing would make me happier than having players that take the easiest route possible suddenly lose all of their units after, say, 6 or 7 merit farming sessions. What are they gonna do? Cry to nintendo about how they broke the terms of service and got fucked over for it? The sheer amount of hate that would potential cause makes me wish I had the patience to do it, that way I could frame someone I dont like so that when the doxing starts, they get all the backlash.

I think it's healthy to be wary of everything around you. While taking it to the extreme is unhealthy, taking the words of someone on the internet with a grain of salt isn't that bad of an idea. Especially when you're putting an account with thousands/hundreds of dollars put into it. Always taking the easy route is bound to bite you in the future.

Of course it's healthy to be wary and of course you shouldn't always take the easy route, but it's important to think rationally. If the tool truly would do that (which it doesn't), the Reddit comments would be full of complaints of that happening to people.

This guy is pouring his valuable time into helping people. But there a lot of people that wont appreciate it because they think everybody who is offering their help has some ulterior motive to screw someone over. Like seen in this case

I don't even trust myself half the time. I check my stove and lights multiple times before i leave my house, I make sure both locks on all three doors are all locked, and I have an 11 year old fatass of a dog that bites anyone that comes into my house when i'm not home. I have every password i've ever used and the usernames and websites theyre tied to written down in a diary thats in a fire proof waterproof lockbox with one key in one of my minnesota banks and the other on my key ring, with the one on my key ring being cut from a blank normal house key so no one can tell which key opens the box.

I have such distrust for just about everything that I doubt ill ever let my guard down, even in death. If I could afford it i'd customize my harddrives to be synchronized with my heartbeat so that when I die they'd explode.

Huh, neat. I knew scripts were a thing, but this seems a lot more detailed. Definitely bookmarking that for later.

As someone who's used scripts, I haven't been banned and I don't think anyone has for this sort of thing. Using an emulator will cause issues, but lots of popular FEH users use some sort of auto-farm.

I feel like if it was a serious issue there would have been punishments already. Not to mention that FEH seems to be slowly dying, IS won't step on a large percentage of their user's toes by preventing it.
