SS + Steady Breath

Do you think it's worth giving Special Spiral to someone if they already have Steady Breath & QR?

I guess with Steady Breath + Special Spiral you could get hit and then immediately counter with an Ignis/Glacies. Might be strong.

My Libra in my fake account has Steady Breath and QR...since one of him or L.Ike is taking the Seal, the other would probably stick with another B-slot. At least that would open Libra up for combos like Guard+QR or QR+Close Def along with Steady Breath.

I'm also heavily considering giving it to F.Robin, that I'm planning to build in the future. I got the free Takumi and everything.

If you have a Slaying weapon and Aether (or in the case of L!Ike, Ragnel and Radiant Aether), you can run Steady Breath and Special Spiral in conjunction to proc Aether on your return hit.

I'd run it with a speedy tank, though, so you wouldn't have to deal with doubles. You could still run QR with it, if the unit is still having trouble killing things with the Aether proc, but it would mostly just be icing on the cake at that point.

If you have a massive def stat (like, B.Hector level) with a lot of atk then I think it can be considered as a OHKO setup as an alternative way to avoid getting doubled. Quan would actually be pretty good with this, but he can't use steady breath. We're looking at something like 55-60 atk + 35 burst damage from the ignis, which is 90+ damage and a very reasonable attempt at OHKO.
