+spd or +atk Erika to 5 Star??

Been thinking about the same thing
I pulled a 5* +atk -spd eirika on a free summon quite some time ago and now I want to upgrade one from 4* to merge her into

+atk is better if you plan on letting her see combat with like a fury swordbreaker build. +spd is better if she's just going to be a buffbot as a defensive measure to deny doubles.

That's a very vague question, as Eirika has a different role compared to many of the top sword units. In terms of combat, units like Ayra zelgius and BK are more oppressive because their broken specials can break the weapon triangle, while units like Alm and elincia offer way more upfront damage with their strong brave weapons. With her refinement, Eirika will retain her buffing role while being able to get potentially +4 to all stats but HP if she's running a full 4 stat buff build. It's quite a bit of stats, but it still doesn't make her 'stronger' than the top swords.

She can get +6 to all stats if she runs a mixed comp to take advantage of emblem buffs (spur effect via her weapon). Tactic skills can also be an easy way to ensure she gets +6 to certain stats as well, which would stack with her spurs, given another ally is getting that buff. She's actually...kinda a monster now.

My Eirika is +Atk/-HP (super boon FTW!) and I've used her alongside Performing Azura (which gives +3 to all stats) and she has seen a considerable bump in power over yesterday. I know I have invested heavily, but for what it's worth...
