+Spd -Atk S!Tana. Keep or fodder?

Got pitybroken while trying to summon for Infantry Rush.

I had originally made plans to sac Tana for Dual Rally and Spurs if I got her since I already have a H!Nowi I invested into, but I am willing to change my mind if y'all have a compelling reason to keep her.

The SI would go towards a +10 merge project, although I really only need the Spurs from her. I could also be convinced to use her for Atk/Spd Push, but I haven't seen any super compelling builds that use it better than something like Brazen.

Note that my H!Nowi is also +Spd -Atk, so offensively Tana will be better due to her higher starting Spd stats.

If keeping, is TA better than Atk/Spd Push for the upcoming Arena changes? My initial thought was TA would end up being better since more teams will be one color and would help with her bulk against green units like Hector or M Grima, with both of them helping Tana's low Atk.

Atk/Spd Push is better on units that will take recoil damage anyway due to some effect like Fury, Cursed Lance, Beloved Zofia, etc. It becomes more powerful on units who can consistently have enough sustain to be at 100% HP before another combat. Also the skill scores more than TA.

-Atk on S!Tana is negligible especially in flier emblem because it's so easy to hone and double goad to get +14/+14 atk/spd. And if you switch out to bladetome, -Atk is also not an issue.

If you want another red mage flier to utilize for whatever needs you may have, you should keep her. But if you don't see yourself fielding her often, maybe somebody else can use her skills. But I personally would keep my one and only copy. Plus you can grind hero feathers from her easily.

Yeah, I've mostly seen it on Alm, Fallen Celica, and healers. I feel like this cements you into an all-in playstyle, but maybe that's fine.

I doubt I would use S!Tana outside of AA or if she ends up being a bonus unit down the line, so TA's lower score doesn't bother me as much as it would otherwise. If I had plans to get merges, I would care a bit more, but I would also be fishing to get a 150 BST bin IV at that point as well.

Agreed on the -Atk bane being negligible. The base 42 spd with her prf or high spd with bladetome is nice, but I'm already using a +5 nino SF to fill the flying nuke on most of my teams, with the goal to +10 her. To me, if the Tana had 150 BST or a different bane, I would snap keep her. Due to the bane, I'm willing to make the sac.

I'll admit that more red mages would be helpful for AA due to the change in blessing bonuses, but I really do need the Spur for a build I'm working on. Someone else brought up using a WT!Reinhardt, but I feel like I would have a higher chance of wanting to keep him, although I'll admit that it's close.

And I always grind HM to max before foddering any unit nowadays, so that's not a concern on my end.

Thanks for your thoughts though; I guess I should think more about if I need another red flier mage. My main issue is the lack of Hone Fliers to go around to support a bladetome build in AA, but I suppose that can be sorted through other pitybreakers down the line.

Difficult decision because you have so many good options. Fodder is good, whether for a +10 merge (but unless the spur is especially perfect for the team I would tend to wait for an IV of WT Reinhardt worse than the IV you have on this S.Tana)

With her kind of spd I feel like TA would be a waste. If she really needs more atk, like Ghoulvarine said, flier buffs or, if that won't do it, blade tome.

What have you already given H.Nowi in skills?

The spur IS perfect for the +10 merge, but I haven't even gotten past +1 yet, so I have time. I do think I'd be more hesitant to sac a WT!Rein though since he IS so much more likely to be a +10able unit due to summoning pool pitybreaks. The latter becomes especially likely since I'm pulling hard on reds when viable in order to try and fill the holes in my merges projects (e.g. Marth, M Corrin, Eirika).

TA might be a waste, but I don't see myself putting something more valuable like Fury on her, let alone Swift Sparrow or other 5* locked skills. I have a few extra Sothes lying around, but not sure if that would end up being better than either TA or Atk/Spd Push.

H!Nowi doesn't have a ton of stuff, but has a complete kit. I'm not swimming in SI fodder like I was before I started my 3-4* projects, so I'm mostly hesitant that Tana will just be benched the entire time. I don't have Desperation or even Moonbow/Glimmers at the moment, although over time I'm sure I'll pull some.

Thanks for your thoughts though. I'll consider my options a bit more, although the SI is still very tempting.
